Sometimes admitting you made a mistake is a positive sign

How many mistakes are they allowed lol. Curtis Samuel, Dyami Brown, AGG, are all busts so far with this team. I dont get the feeling they know how to scout WRs.

You really can't have two WR's on $25M+ contract, no. The cap hasn't blown up to THAT degree yet

You can structure their contracts in a way to benefit the cap, it's not like they have to make a flat 25m per year. How do you think the Eagles avoid cap hell every single year?

We still needed more mid round picks....remember we lost a 3rd this year....

We are already moving on from our 3rd round pick from last year, I dont think this FO deserves the benefit of the doubt like they seem to get. They've made a lot of questionable decisions so far.

Huh? We're gonna pay AJB $100M and pay Terry similar? Nah you need that rookie contract at the position locking you in for 4-5 years

It really isn't that complicated, you can have two WRs on large contracts. Just don't pay other mediocre players like Daron Payne a second contract.

Couldn’t  pay Terry and AJ.  Never a thought.

Come on, you seriously believe there isnt a way to make that happen? There are ways to get creative with the cap. Brown is a very good WR that will make a difference in any teams offense.

We're gonna look back in a few years and cry at the fact that all we got for passing up on studs like Olave and Hamilton were two mid round picks when they probably end up flaming out

This is how I feel every time we trade down lol

Well I'm in a strange place. I had committed to switching to the Ravens, I'm following their draft reports and getting familiar with their roster.  I have purposely avoided any Washington draft talk.  Now with this latest revelation I have no idea which team's draft to follow.  Is it possible that they kick out Dan before the draft?  No that's not possible.  But I feel more positive with each day which seems to bring yet another report, all bad for Little Danny.

There is nothing set in stone for this team yet, I'd still say follow the Ravens until Dan is gone if you think you'll be able to do it.

  8. I have to say, there has been a lot more smoke this offseason about Dan losing ownership than we've had in the past. That in itself is good. The cracks in the armor are showing, and I am of the belief that terrible people do terrible things, sometimes this means illegal things. The guy is the ultimate mob boss and would probably let his own family fall on a sword for him. If multiple people with enough power and wealth want Dan removed, I believe it will happen. It just seems like to me there are people right now currently tugging at strings to get him removed and they're essentially looking for a smoking gun. Danny would probably file for a lawsuit saying the NFL conspired against him, but it probably wouldn't do much.

Here's to hoping he's gone soon and all us miserable fans can finally have some hope for the future of this football team.

  9. Only way we are getting a star QB is if he's drafted, I'm not sure how that isn't obvious to the entire fanbase at this point. You don't have to read the beat reports to know that we weren't close to acquiring Rodgers or Wilson.

If there is a choice in the matter for the QB, we are at the bottom of the list. If there isn't, we are going to have to offer a ton because nobody wants to lose a trade to Washington.

  10. I've been on board with Malik Willis for a while, his talent is undeniable. I just hope he hasn't increased his stock to a top 10 pick, as that puts us out of the picture unless we trade up. We are in a good position for a QB in this draft, imagine if we had a top 3 pick and needed a QB in this draft? It would be awful because there's definitely no sure-fire picks at the position this year.

I'd take the first three cause I hate the way people re talking about Chase and I think Rodgers career would end much sooner than expected if he came here.

Chase Young was in one of the weakest defensive classes I've ever seen. He would not have been close to DPOY had he come out in 2021. People need to be honest in their evaluations with him and not let the hype blind them from reality. He hasn't been nearly as good as I've hoped he was and I think there are quite a few other fans who are also somewhat disappointed with his production. It's crazy to pass up on Aaron Rodgers for a DE, let alone one that doesn't really produce many pressures and sacks.

I don't the biggest challenge is QBs not willing to play here, per the report about Wilson who supposedly is cool with coming here.   The challenge seems to be who becomes available, since none of the big fish might hit the market.

the only Qb per a report we know supposedly doesn't want to play here is Watson.

I think they're both challenges, I mean it's obvious this team doesn't have the best reputation. Wilson has some history with the area so maybe that might contribute to him being okay with playing here.

It just seems like the org has put themselves in a desperate situation, and I've never liked now this team operated when they're desperate.

  13. This FO has been so misguided on acquiring a QB. Rivera's "build the roster first and the QB will come" philosophy is seriously biting us in the rear. Nobody wants to come and play QB here, you cannot trade for a franchise QB because they don't want to play for this organization, so you have to draft a game changer. You build a roster that's too strong and you wind up getting stuck in QB hell like we are currently in.

I'd feel a lot better if we had good scouting, because there's potentially some gems at QB in this draft that maybe have a weakness or two that can be hammered out. It just doesn't seem like the FO wants to take a gamble unless they're a "sure thing" and those guys are gone by pick #3.

Sorry to burst your bubble guys but I HIGHLY doubt their ends up being another new name. First off the name change was largely run by Jason who the league hired. 2nd the NFL had to approve the new name in the first place. Third the NFL probably helped push the Commander name forward as they like having those military connections. And 4th the NFL was never going to allow anything that wasn’t super safe and boring based off all the controversy over the Redskins name and likely wants to keep it that way. I just highly doubt NFL would have any interest what so ever in going through all that again.

It's definitely wishful thinking. There is a higher chance of Snyder being gone than a new name being introduced. I just don't see how that one happens and I highly doubt the NFL will allow it, especially since Jason Wright (who the NFL recommended) oversaw the whole operation.

I  really don't think I would want Bezos as the owner. His ego is even bigger than Snyder's. I have a feeling he'd interfere way too much. I just want an owner who sits back and lets football people make decisions. Just surround the team with good football people. Then light a big cigar when you lift the Lombardy trophy.

In a way, we want the owner to be very involved, just not in football decisions. Bezos could build the team a practice facility and stadium that would rival what Jerry has built for the Cowboys.
