For us that have been around lets say a few years, the black uniforms in Dallas need to go! What the heck was that?

Story two, Wentz is washed, waddles around like a duck when he runs now, can make throws that TH cant make or should I say can throw it further and is taller but sure doesnt know the offense, where to go with the ball before the snap, no where the mentality, not even close on mobility. Which brings us to the next story, the biggest.

The biggest story after is the confirmation of what a colossal mistake it was to bring in Carson for Ron. You just got clobbered by a backup when the D actual played decent.

Once I witnessed Wentz over throwing a 6'6"  Thomas by 4' on a short out, it confirmed it for me that this guy is not a professional grade QB. Just because he can throw it far. I will not watch another game this year unless at the very least a QB change happens. Whats the point? We know what the current product is.

It was obvious Dallas' Coordinators were going to outcoach us before the game. I already knew Dan Quinn was going to take Scott Turner's lunch money. You could see Quinn was a step ahead of Turner throughout the game. The same goes for Kellen Moore and JDR. McCarthy is similar to Rivera where he gives a lot of control to his Coordinators. McCarthy just has much better coaches around him. That's not an excuse for Rivera, though, since he chose this staff and hasn't made a change.

Riverboat Ron keeps expecting different results every week while employing the same tactics.

  2.  I find myself watching some games because I'm curious just how theyll screw themselves out of a win. Every game seems as if the other team knows every play we call. The saddest part is I find myself laughing at this inept team sort of how they used to laugh at the keystone cops. Also I NEVER wear any of my gear anymore. Its like its just over.

There is a lot of talent on the team but no one seems to ever be able to shape it into a consistently competitive team. Twilight zone crap.

Complete debacle- not much to say about the game other than it obviously ranks as one of the worst performances I can remember as a fan, which covers 49 years.

As bad as we were, the two most concerning things to me coming out of the game are: How we're going to solve the problem of Prescott's dominance over us and if last night was the beginning of Rivera losing the team.

Prescott is now 9-1 against us and it's starting to feel like Brady's dominance over Buffalo and Rodgers' dominance over Chicago. I fully get that Prescott hasn't accomplished anything compared to Brady and Rodgers, but my point is that dominance like Prescott has had against us is hard to flip and it will be very difficult for us to win the division in the years to come as long as he has our number and owns us how he has. Obviously, last year doesn't count, as Prescott was injured and didn't play in either game against us when we swept Dallas and won the division.

As for Rivera, I think he is a respected guy around the league, but my concern when we hired him was that he often looked like he was in a fog on the sideline in Carolina and I'm seeing that more and more with us. I would've liked to see him go over there and take control of the Allen/Payne situation instead of acting like he didn't know anything was going on. There were also consecutive plays where Smith-Williams and then Toohill on the very next play were running onto the field as Dallas was snapping the ball- Back to Back plays this happened!!

Injuries/Covid aside, that was an inexcusable performance that- right or wrong- falls more on the coaching staff than it does the players. Uninspired, undisciplined and unprepared play in a must win game against your biggest rival is a coaching issue- in my opinion.

Forget the playoffs, I just want to see how the team reacts in these final two games, because if they're flat and uninspired I'm going to go into the offseason down on Rivera as our coach.

Ron was very perturbed during his post game interview. I would expect a better showing the last 2 games. But who cares really? Why should it take that to motivate this team? I do think Del Rios schemes are antiquated and most good coaches can look back to see what he's done in the past. But it certainly is the entire team. No one unit covers the other one very well.

For what it's worth, I watched to the bitter end. I don't know why because it just made me miserable.

It was obvious that we were totally out-matched and out-played in almost every aspect of the game, although I don't think this can be blamed entirely on lack of effort, although this did play a part in the later stages.

Blaming losses on injuries is often scoffed at, but with the amount of starters who were out, they have to at least be acknowledged. Covid only compounded the lack of available players which resulted in a perfect (****) storm.

I don't think that Bates or McLaurin deserve frowns, but I wouldn't really argue the point.

There has to be some fallout from the Payne/Allen incident. I honestly don't know what Payne was thinking when he poked Allen on the forehead like that, it showed a great deal of disrespect and I think many people would have reacted the same way Allen did. It was just lucky that Allen missed his punch because it could have been a lot more serious.

The coaches have to shoulder some of the blame because it's their job to build the roster, install the schemes and design the plays. I would give Rivera at least another year, I'm on the fence regarding Turner, but I would sack Del Rio immediately. I think he is a bad coach and in way over his head.

    TL/DR: **** game, **** result, **** dallas.

We were out matched, out played in every aspect. We were also **** on by the officials. That didn't help either.

Gibson is not a true RB. I don’t understand why we are trying to make a WR into a lead runner.

Hundreds of RB in college football and fringe NFL players would be better than this experiment.

Its something I've noticed from the beginning sadly. Gibsons a good athlete but not a great RB. Put him next to J. Taylor and he'll look like a high school player. He gets tackled waaay to easily on most plays and runs into bodies instead of allowing blocks to develop. And his quick cut ability is below average. I  still see him as a decent "piece" but we need a true RB. This teams glory years were all carried by a dominant RB.

We lost to a guy Jaylen Hurts whom a lot on here seem to think isnt very good, yet hes better than any qb on our roster. He took what was given to him and did it well, his ability to run had our defenders frozen at times, that being said if Heinicke closes out with 3 straight wins ill be impressed.

Hurts looked pretty damn good to me. Would take him in a heart beat. Heineke's ability to run , although not as dangerous as Hurts, gives our team a similar threat.

Again, though, being prepared for various scenarios is a coaching issue. One that, in most circumstances, isn’t really an issue when the defense/unit is humming on all cylinders. If our D is shut down but NO gets a lucky touchdown there exactly as it happened yesterday most people chalk it up to luck.

Some would get mad and move on quickly.

But with how unprepared the defense has looked as a whole, and how disjointed it’s been, it looks more and more like a preparation issue.

Again, these are pros and they should know what to do in this scenario. So it’s not a free pass for them.

But seeing as these are the players that this regime has signed/brought in/continue to play regardless of performance, it could also be sliced down to a coaching issue in that regard as well. There are other professional football players on the bench waiting for a chance.

It’s not like this is JV ball and you have a few guys that aren’t ready to go into the game because they just started playing last week.

    It’s a microcosm.

Sooo, you are agreeing with the fact that making an effort on a jump ball should be automatic for a "professional" football player and not something after playing football their entire lives that they should have to be coached to do at this level?  I thought so.

I see this thread from someone every year, and I still wouldn't feel any kind of way if folks jumped back in at any point, like some did in 2012.

Theres no doubt in my mind that Snyder doesn't read this forum, or maybe once upon a time did and got angry and never came back.  This "he's a fan" crap has to stop, because if he really was he never would've let Sean Taylor get disrespected like he was this week.

Look, if you want to go, go, I dont blame you, the door should be open when you come back without being called traitors or bandwagoners.  So much damage is being done to this fan base that it is entirely possible that it withers out and dies, we won't live forever, and there's barely if any new blood coming after us.

So go ahead, be free, jus dont **** on the folks who stay like you are smarter then them.  Point those darts where they belong.

Well said. I've just reached the point of watching this team with the lowest of expectations and it doesn't get any more pathetic than that. Even games that look promising for them seem to always end badly. I've been doing it for so long its simply a habit and maybe I'm just perpetually stuck in neutral waiting for the big turn around.

I think what frustrated me the most in today's game versus the other losses is that today the defense actually had some good stops/containments at times, but lacked the consistency to perform that entire game.

It felt like a game the Saints were ready to lose until WFT just kept wasting opportunities over and over.

Winston & Heinicke looked like 2 back up journeymen QBs battling out there, and tbh I think Winston looked mostly awful against the defense, but made a couple big throws that determined the game.  The TD at half time just can't happen.  I don't care if you "weren't ready" because there were plenty of defenders down there in the endzone and in postion and not one of them made much of an effort to disrupt the ball from being caught.

Taylor Heinicke.  He's not the guy, my friends.  His phyisical limitations are further emphasized each week because of more film being made available.  It's effecting how the secondary is covering, and is allowing them to play a lot more loose and aggressive.

I am kind of baffled with the mistakes the defense are making.  We know it's miscommunications and missed assignments, but Jack Del Rio also seems to know this, so what is it during practice that is making him confident, that ends up not happening in games which ends ups angering him so much like he didn't see it coming.

    Just....ugh.

Too many things are broken on defense from coaching to player discipline and execution to be successful.  And yes, Heineke is not the answer, a decent fill in guy with moxy yes but not long term. However he has been burdened with the task of comeback kid since his first live snaps with this team with little help. When he runs, things happen but why aren't guys getting open? or is he waiting too long to chuck it? As good as Josh Allen is at throwing the ball he ran A LOT against KC with no hesitation. That opened up several HUGE passing plays. And that is a recipe WFT should look at more if they want to win any more games with TH. Instead of this " teach him to be a pocket passer" thing. He's not a Brady or Manning. This loss was horrid in many ways. The officials tried handing the game to us.

How is them not jumping for the ball Del Rio's fault?  They've jumped before including this year. Before this play, Del Rio told them look if you are in the end zone and the ball is up in the air don't jump, just trust me, I got my reasons? Still its just one play.   How is Collins missing tackles on Del Rio?

I've followed your posts for years, good stuff, I've agreed with many of your points, but one point where I think I depart from you from time to time is I do recall you tend to blame each coaching staff regularly year after year from what I recall squarely for loses and misplays.   Granted they deserve blame but IMO not all the blame.  Collins for example IMO is a bad player right now and no that's not IMO 100% on Del Rio.

Agreed. Jumping for a hail mary knock down should be and IS a common sense play on the players shoulders, not the coach. Waiting for another team mate to take the initiative on a jump ball s not a coached technique.

The Giants game was closer than I expected, but I got the outcome correct. I feel the same way about this one. I think the Skins can win this game pretty convincingly, which isn't some grand compliment. The Falcons won't score more than 13 points - they looked crappy even against the Giants.

I see this as a 31-13 W to get to 2-2 before a tough stretch of games...

They've given up 92 points in 3 games and the falcons will only score 13?   You a funny cookie.

Washington's defense is frighteningly bad.  Atlanta has weapons and is playing at home.  I will believe the WFT will get off to a better start when I actually see them do it.  They will continue to play from behind and lose a close one.

    Atlanta 27

    Washington 24

I agree. And this is the loss that will define the season as the gauntlet of games after that looks bad, real bad.

Chase is the leader of this defense and has been arguably our least effective member of the front 4. For a #2 pick with the swag he carries, he needs to be a difference maker. Often. Does he even have a qb hurry so far? Way too many 3rd down passing plays converted because the qb has all day. I said it after the TB game where our front 4 was embarrassed that now the blueprint on how to beat our D is out there… on paper the talent has improved, so part of me thinks this really may be the case.

Collins is the glaring hole but this is what many of us expected. When SIP mentioned that collins and curl were playing together in camp I commented about how this is a recipe for disaster. Sure enough, not working. Mccain + curl, do it for the love of god.

If the front 4 isn’t going to play like a studs then the defense is average at best. 4 1st rd picks should afford the team the luxury to not have to blitz to generate pressure. Every play one of them should be winning their battles. We’ve faced two really bad OLs and looked like we had backups on the field against them.

10 days to gameplan for the juggernaut offense of the bills. A LOT has to change if we’re going to have any shot.

Payne and Allen have won their battles and are playing well but the DE's and LB's are not.

Agree 100%. You had an entire offseason to address LB. They were horrible last year and drafting a 1st rounder while keeping the same trash is unforgivable.

Yup so we're left with a rookie and holcomb who everybody knew was very average at best. Bostic although pretty good

may be the best of them and thats scary.

This dude is literally one of the most elusive QB's I have ever seen.

    That's saying a lot.

Not just the way he runs, breaks tackles, dives airborne.

But the moves he makes in the pocket, are virtually mind-blowing.

Not only that, but he has an excellent balance of arm and legs.

Most QB's who are about that elusive and mobile, can't throw as well as him.

And most QB's who throw as well as him, are not as mobile as him.

It's like the rare total package, of an equally dual threat of run and pass.

And that's not even mentioning his NFL brain.

It's also rare that a guy that is that mentally sharp, is also so physically gifted and athletic.

Yeah he looked  " Kyler Murreyish" out there.

Did anyone else notice Harris going down quickly after his catches?  I am wondering if Jay has him doing that on purpose, to make sure that he doesn't take any unnecessary hits, and further compound our injury woes at WR.  The previous weeks, I thought I saw the same from Richardson.

With AP toting the mail effectively, it may not matter who are WRs are this year. I would like to think PA will eventually lead to WRs wide open, and help our passing game get some rhythm. And help Alex get a little rapport / confidence with them.

I would be interested to see which QBs use their 2nd and 3rd reads the most. I suspect Alex is among the leaders based solely on my eye test of course.

what ever is going on, they had better get more out of passing attack. AP won't rush for 90 something every week. So far the D has to get props for keeping games close.
