  1. Usually mostly a lurker and haven’t posted in a while but felt I had to chime in on the Michael Penix discussion.
If you think he can’t avoid pressure because he can’t run you haven’t paid attention or really watched him. There seems to be this misconception that the only way to avoid pressure is by scrambling. Actually go watch multiple games of Penix. he does a really good job feeling pressure and moving within the pocket to avoid sacks and create space for himself. And the analytics back this up as well Michael Penix was only sacked on 7% of every pressure he faced that is INSANE. Oh and this is also while having the lowest time to throw of any of the consensus top 6 QBs in the draft.

This is the biggest home game in years and there are people posting in the "It's Happening.." thread who want us to the Giants because of the fear that a successful season will somehow keep Snyder from selling the team.    I kinda/sorta get it...but....WTF!?

This is a seriously damaged fan-base.

To keep it OT, get your asses to the stadium.   If you've never been to a big game like this, get your tickets today!  Games like this have been very few and far between for a long, long time.  The atmosphere is electric.  Prime Time. Under the bright lights, with everything on the line.,

    Be There!!!!

Yeah if you can find a way to go then go. F Snyder this isnt about him. this is about us. Ryan clark said theres a college like feel to the atmosphere in that stadium right now from when he was at the atlanta game. He said there's a certain bond between this team and the fans. thats with the stadium maybe 75% full in the rain.  This is one of the most fun/ easiest groups ive ever rooted for with this team. I dont think ive ever seen a group as close as this one. Thats our team on the field not Snyders. Those guys have busted their asses to get back into it and theyve done in SPITE of all the ownership bs constantly hanging over their heads. they are literally begging us to show up to the point of buying hundreds of tickets to give away. like i said f the owner. dudes gonna be a billionaire yesterday, today and tomorrow whether we show up or not. So do it for the guys on the field

Can you translate this for an old technologically-challenged guy?    Does that mean that they're only a few tickets left on the secondary market?

    Thanks!

Anything in blue is still available. light blue means less available dark blue means more available

  4. Yeah ours went up I think $100 a piece if we renewed on club. But think we are actually moving to upper level. Got a few friends up there and for mine and my brothers 2 club level tickets was right around 3600 for the year. For us to do upper level would cost about 1300 for the year for the two of us with parking. the free food is nice but I’m not eating $2300 worth of food in the stadium over a year lol

@Skinsfan1311 not sure if you felt same way from your vantage point, but from 454 it looked like half of the lower ring on the visitors side was nearly completely purple and louder then the rest of the stadium combined.

Like we were trying to make noise from our section on defense, slamming empty seats next to us, then especially in the 4th quarter the Vikings fans were jus louder when it was their turn.  I can't say for sure we were outnumbered, same as you, but damn it felt disappointing like it didn't matter...at home...

To me it felt like another egregious example of how exhausted and burntout our fan base was, it's one thing when we are clearly outnumbered, but when we arent???

This is kinda how I felt the game went. Vikings fans were loud after that first touchdown. From then on our fans got progressively louder throughout the game while theirs got quieter. By the time pick 6/ dpi happened our fans were at a fever pitch it was loud. Even lake lewis tweeted something out about it being the loudest he’d heard fedex in years.  As soon as the flag on the pick 6 happened though all air went out of our fans. That flag changed everything on the field and the atmosphere off it

His reasoning was the news about Snyder is going to fire the team up. I agree with that statement. He also said Washingtons defense has played great during their 3 game winning streak.

Eh if anything the passing of Coach Rivera’s mom is going to fire the team up to win for him more so than the news about Snyder. We can complain about Rivera all we want but the guys in the locker room do fight for him and seem to love him as their coach

I mean, I hope so, but I’m not sure who “they” is, and i seriously doubt it.

They isn’t the NFL because they’re not really part of the NFL.

If you’re buying a $6B complex business, I can almost guarantee you the buyer is going to want a lot of time to get comfortable with all the various aspects of the business, financials, operations, real estate, merchandise, personnel, etc.

The reporting is Bezos and Jay-Z intend to submit a bid in January.  My read is that is when they’ll get probably up to 6 bids.  And then the legal stuff will start after all the bids are in.

I hope it will work faster but transactions have their own timeline and they typically don’t deviate shorter, they deviate longer

Bezos doesn’t have the time to run a football franchise.

He’s going to buy it, find somebody to run it, and then show up for games.

Jay-Z is a great partner because he knows the business of sports and entertainment and would be great to have as a partner.

There will be a CEO type to run the team.

You mean like a hand picked Team president that’s already been in the building for two years and hasn’t been given the power he was promised when given the job lol

If Bezos is putting up the lions share of this purchase, he’ll have much more say than Jay-Z. Make no mistake about, Bezos will be the owner and Jay-Z will be a famous shareholder.

Maybe maybe not but between Bezos and jay which one of them has been an owner of a sports franchise, has consulted with the nfl and nfl franchises for years, and has knowledge of how nfl player contracts work through their sports agency roc nation. Why would Bezos want jay z if it’s not from a money perspective because the dude has first hand knowledge

Sorry...2021? Did I read that wrong?

No but it doesn’t change what that means that’s about a year into the name change process and regardless of the date it doesn’t change the fact that Jay helped Jason Wright get the job as team president

Jay Z was in talks to buy a minority share from Dan. Ultimately Dan bought out Fred Smith and Schar himself. It’s also been reported that Jay Z keeps in contact with Dan. If keeping Jason and the name is what it takes to get rid of Dan and get Bezos in with Jay Z so be it. Left hand up!

Curious to know how many of the posters are at the game tomorrow, should be a very unique experience I reckon after the Snyder news.

Will be there. Just going off Twitter and Facebook groups Does seem to be a little bit different vibe this week compared to the normal excitement of the game. Some of it early was the idea of the blackout game, 3 game win streak, cousins coming back etc having a chance to be kinda cool atmosphere then the news dropped Wednesday and it went into over drive. My brother has a season ticket with me and this might be most excited he’s been about a game all year

Lots of moxie in these two posts. Gotta love the optimism.

I just don’t think the Vikings are as good as their record suggests. The 4 Vikings fans I work with would tell you the same. Their wins have come against teams a combined 18-29. One of those wins being against a tua less dolphins team. Not saying our opponents are world beaters or anything just saying they haven’t been some juggernaut is all

My fly by assessment whatever that means is that I think that our QB is so absolutely terrible that our offense won't be able to sustain drives long enough to keep the defense off the field and by the second half, they'll be so gassed that the Vikings will be able to score at will.

Interesting so the last two games Heinicke is 67.2% completion, 480 yards, 240 ypg, 7.5 ypa, 4 total tds, 2 ints, and 91.9 rating against the 2nd and 11th best passing defenses in the league is going to be so bad Sunday that he can’t sustain drives against a defense that ranks 28th in pass yards per game and 28th in overall ypg? Kirk Cousins is at 66.6 %, 1734yya, 6.6 ypa, 11 tds to 5 ints with a 90.7 rating is gonna be so good Sunday that he’s going to light up a defense giving up 14.5 pts per,  292 yards per, 29% on third down, 12 sacks and 5 turnovers over last 4 games 06C1D3EF-8988-439D-9C20-1F14F801F345.gif.5985f5d3bac3ef7eee3581778cc87b3d.gif
