Snyder should make a bloody fortune out of this renaming/rebranding.
I’ve said this before, the silver lining in this cloud of crap for him is massive. Do the job right and he’s going to make money all over the place with new sponsors etc. If it’s done correctly, they will be throwing money at him.
Another If, but If there is a season and we get a true emerging elite player, say Terry Mc or Chase Young, the marketing pool will just gets deeper.
The dreamers, the hardcore, that always believe in the next hope! The guys I get so tired of because they never learn and are the ones that keep supporting that terd Danny boy. When has Dan ever done the job right?
Dan is so hanging his hat on Ron, its the last hoorrah. It isnt going to work, the team will start off and be terrible this year. By year 3 the Ron hire will be seen as Norv 2.0 maybe worse because he is saddled with Haskins for those that dont always realize it, Haskins will be exposed as the dud he is and the fans will be gone. No matter what Dan does he isnt getting any tax money for a stadium. He wont making any money he will be leaking it, leaking it bad!

I will say this also, and then let it rest, because I don’t like that I have been forced into a position of defending Dan Snyder. He deserves a lot of criticism.
Joe Gibbs always speaks highly of him. Joe Gibbs helped him hire Rivera last Winter.
I doubt anybody here wants to question Joe Gibbs integrity.Snyder has put alot of green in Gibbs pocket, he also gets treated really well by Snyder.

After reading the official statement and then the internal memo, Snyder is one entitled jerk and doesnt seem particular smart and sure as heck cant speak. This guy will never be liked. Happy Thanksgiving!

My thoughts right now: Ron Rivera will be with this organization for a long, long time. His duties are not only to coach, but they're to change the entire culture of this organization. Now that his name is attached as sort of the savior, he's not going anywhere. I hope he's a good X's and O's coach, that's my biggest concern with him.
I dont know what it takes for some of you to learn, so many of you keep banging your head against the wall....bang..bang..bang! First, it was all the high priced FA's, then Spurrier, then Gibbs, then Shanny and Bruce, now its Ron thats going to save the franchise. Why would Ron want to stay one minute more then he had too?

Some people like Gibbs828791 probably won’t believe anything anti- Washington team. ‘My guess is the Watergate investigative also wasn’t vetted enough for I’m....
Its not that I dont believe it, probably happened just not hanging people from the post article, a paper that has written many fake news articles and that have a clear agenda.

Dan is a good man, he has always been about winning, and I know he wouldnt stand for this and will get to the bottom of this.

Check yourself, I'm not assuming anything.
Everyday folks are shrugging their should at the tip of the iceberg on women being treated like **** in the workplace.
But this is the second time something like this has come out about this franchise in two years, who's assuming here?
You literally no nothing of the below, you have no facts on this at all!
Reality is absolutely worse then what this article suggests
every female employee for the Redskins is saying the same thing
no way in Hell that Snyder didn't know this was going on

I mean, if your starting position is basically "why should I believe exhaustively cross-sourced investigative journalism that led to multiple firings and retirements from the team"...then there just isn't a conversation for us to have here.
cross-sourced investigative journalism thats a good one! lol

I think its more difficult than that. You could write that article about any college or pro sports team and it would probably be 2/3 as bad. It's more a question of, "Can I watch any sport ever again?"

I'm not sure how much more of this I can put up with as a fan.
The idea this is a nothing burger, there's less regular female posters on this board then there are fingers on my right hand. How is this going to help, we gonna have #metoo after us too now?
This article is only what the Post could defend in court and the women chose to help validate anyway even with all the NDA's going around.
Reality is absolutely worse then what this article suggests, but the idea that pretty much every female employee for the Redskins is saying the same thing about working there...thats not a nothing burger. That says more about some of us talking like that.
Be mad it doesn't match the apocalypse Twitter predicted, it getting dragged out just tells me the post had to take **** out before publishing.
Now it's up to the NFL to investigate, and God bless Rivera for trying to stick this out and clean this up. But he can't finish this with Dan there, there is no way in Hell that Snyder didn't know this was going on. He's a bully jus like the accused, starts at the top, man.
Folks that want to minimize this because it "happens every day" are part of the f'n problem. Stop asking me to be a fan of this franchise when it constantly finds new ways to violate my values as a fellow human being. We are used to something we shouldn't be used to at all.
If I had a daughter, I'd be just as concerned them joining the Redskins as joining the Navy. I don't wang to be a fan of this team if thats cost of doing business with them, stop asking me to "jus focus on football" when the franchise is completely incapbale of it in some of the most morally disgusting ways imaginable.
This isn't rock bottom yet...
Your making alot of assumptions here and presenting them as fact, is that you washpost? check yourself!

Maybe people should stop looking at this through the lens of "Will this force Snyder to sell?" and start looking at it through the lens of "Can I in good conscience continue to be a fan of this team?"
Keep dreaming people are memorized by this crap, will buy 20 dollar cans of budlight, pay 100 to park a mile away all while rooting for Norv 2.0 to coach the Maryland whatevertheyarecalled

Huh? Unless you don't believe the accounts of the women, there is no other viable "side" to any of the anecdotes.
Like I said we hearing one side of the story, why should I believe anything without more investigating, I dont know any of these people, woman have lied and the post is the post. Thats the problem ever buddy jumps to conclusions. Already looks like the post has put things in the article that dont belong.
-
It says alot about the ship that Dan runs and why we will never win with him but its a nothingburger as far as getting him out, heck he is already starting to resolve it by hiring an attorney.

The Post is fine. They have a dozen+ female employees willing to go on the record about harassment in the workplace. They did diligence and ran it...that’s journalism. Its the ZOMG twitter hype that’s not adding up.
Well actually they have only one on record, they talk to some woman that stated it was as toxic as she has ever seen although she witnessed nothing and another section about woman getting yelled at for not doing her job in giving good directions..like I said the post being the post and always having to embellish their stories and not let the facts speak for themselves.
And lets not forget we are only hearing one side of the story!

No more trading back and back and back. Just take the best player. If it crashes and burns, so be it.
I know you can find gems later in the 1st round, but I don’t want any more Ryan Kerrigans, Jonathan Allens and Dwayne Haskins. All good in their own right but we need game changers.
I agree why do people want to keep trading back. Trade back from 5? Why on earth would you do that!
Folks this team won 3 games last year, we are building for 2 or 3 years from now we arent going fill all the roster spots this year we need studs, not average starters.

Arrington's situation is not a very accurate comparison of Young's potential situation. Arrington was a pass rusher. The Redskins used him in schemes that completely devalued his skill set. Had they turned him loose with no zone or coverage responsibility he might have been the next L.T. Del Rio seems to understand how to use the skills of his players. One of the first comments I heard him say after hired was how often Sweat was misused, said he needed to have his hand in the dirt rushing the passer. If Chase is everything he is projected to be offenses will have to game plan around him, change blocking schemes, get rid of the ball quicker, etc and the entire defense will benefit and be better. Too much upside to pass on unless it's one of those offers you just can pass up (RG3 level).
Every time a player does not pan out around here its always scheme. The hype around Chase has gotten absurd! Yes Chase will be unstoppable, he will change the way offenses play football, some teams wont even try to pass and may even punt on 1st down.
Some of you are really cruising for a big let down. But this has always been the problem with Danny boy, the fans want somebody they can have a man crush on to forget the team is a loser.

I saw were Smith was all excited on the Panthers hire. You know the guy that 99% of the people never heard of and had one year of NFL coaching. Sure Steve, thats going to work out great with a know it all, meddling, insufferable owner....good luck! I will take this higher and coaches all day and my guess is most people that work in the NFL would also.

Honestly I think it's more of the media than the regular fans. I have one co-worker up here that's a Cowboys fan (she grew up in Iowa of course). She's pretty fatalistic as well especially about their owner and his meddling. I think she's cautiously optimistic about McCarthy as well.
I thought McCarthy was a meeehh hire, bring in Mike Nolan makes it a bad hire. Nolan is the definition of retread, and not even a good one. That defense just took a step back.

You guys there is one way the skins dont end up with Chase and have no opportunity to draft him right....nightmare scenario...Burrow blows out knee, tears an Achilles, dislocates his hip etc...in the final game!

So Cam was what exactly? Ron knows how to deal with a personality. So long as Haskins works hard, his personality and desires will not have an effect on his status and relationship with Ron.
exactly so lets let Ron make the decision; you really dont know if Cams and Haskins personalities are the same unless you know both of them like Ron will to say this

I came here and used this account just to see who the heck is still posting outside this thread about football related subjects. Just goes to show how sick sports fan can be, at this point if you tune into the games to give them ratings much less attend games or buy merchandise you truly are an immoral person. You are supporting a monster, that has no respect for his wife, family, or woman. YOU CAN NOT SEPARATE THE TEAM FROM THE OWNER!!!
