  1. Yeah Braves, I am. I just wish that our organization had a desire to go after a big time player like Lebron to at least add excitement to our organization, instead of just settling for mediocre. I think we'll be good and I am proud of the team this year, it's just we always settle for bronze instead of going for gold.

Totally agree.....not sure how a persons fanhood could be questioned, all because they want their team to show some interest when the best player on the planet because available in FA and we don't even show the slightest bit of interest.

Just saying, if we don't plan on trying to be the BEST, whats the point of owning a team?.…..

  2. The owner of the Cavs and the fans dont deserve to have him back. Still not sure why we couldnt had tried to make some kind of an effort to land LBJ or Melo. Wasnt holding my breath on it, but it wouldve at least nice to hear some kind of rumblings that we made some type of effort to contact him. Anyway, can football season hurry the hell up and get here.

  3. I doubt it, but I still hope LeBron decides to not go back to Cleveland.....

In a Perfect world, LBJ would make a statement that he's not going to Cleveland, ONLY because the owner there. The fans would HATE HATE HATE that owner forever......

And then LBJ would make an annoucement that he decided to come to the Wizards. Only in a perfect world :-(

  4. The Heat are getting their big 3 back. Wade might be declining though.

That Gortat contract hurts the more I think about it. Just seems short-sighted. The goal should be to win a championship. That wasn't going to happen next season or the following. I'd've been ok taking a step back next year if it left us with the resources to make a championship push from 2016-on.

If we were serious about trying to win a Championship, we wouldve been preparing for LeBron & Melo. We knew both of them had an option to opt out this year and that at least one of them would. Our organization is trying to stay competitive and have merchandise selling.

  5. We're fools if we don't maintain max contract space for Durant in the summer of 2016. Even if it's just a 5% chance of getting him, you have to do it.

It's obvious Durant is keeping us in his back pocket if things don't work out in OKC.

Sign Gortat, sign Ariza to a two year deal or move him before that summer for a contract that expires then. Trade Webster for an expiring before that summer. Do not sign Booker or Seraphin to deals longer that two years. Let Nene expire. All other FA acquisitions this summer need to be two year deals maximum. Do not trade for anyone whose contract doesn't expire before the summer of 2016. Trade draft picks unless we're actually getting excellent early contributors out of them.

When we hit that summer, our team needs to be:

    Wall at 15.8 million

    Gortat at ~10 million

    Beal at a ~12 million

And probably Porter at 5.8 million.

That should leave us with max contract cap room for that summer. If Durant doesn't sign, whatever. We'd already have a good core group of players. Spend the money on a group of decent players. If he does, then we'll have the title favorite. There is very little downside to operating that way.

Right now, if Beal keeps on track, I think he's due for a Ty Lawson/Steph Curry type extension once his rookie deal expires. Definitely not a max player yet. But probably will be close by negotiation time.

Iono man, I'd LOVE to bring in KD. But it just seems like there are never any reports of the Wizards being even slightly interested going after the big time FAs. Carmelo & LeBron James are available, and I havent heard no reports of us having any interest in even trying to land one of those guys.

Its just hard for me to jump on the "save money to get KD, 2 years from now" bandwagon, when most likely 2 years from now, even if we have the doe, the Wizards wont even try to get him.

  6. Hands it off after pounding out the entire shock clock.

He should be completely embarrassed with how he's played this series.

Course he could change all that right now since I'm sure they'll give him an open look if he wants it.

    Hahahahahahahhahhahahahhaahhahahahhahaha

    ****ing losers.

He lost his confidence. He's got to developed that killing instinct and TAKE OVER AS THE LEADER OF THHIS TEAM. Sometimes we play TOO much team ball. They worked to hard for guys like Gooden & Harrington to be taking all of these shots during key possessions...

Let me just say that I love CSN. Their shows are must watch for the Washington Sports fan. However, they have been having some problems lately. I work audio and visual, so I know there are some hiccups along the way, but stuff like this is unacceptable. Step up your game CSN, you're better than this.

Saw this to. Loving seeing us on nationality televised games. Good to hear positive commentary from non bias analysis. Also LOVE that the rest of the country is seeing what us die hard Wizard fans have been watching all season. This is like a dream. By FAR my best time as a Bullets/Wizards fan. Going back to the Bernard King days.....WE HAVE TO WIN THIS SERIES....

  8. Oh yeah, for the trillionth time in this thread, I'm going to be physically sick if we do not resign Ariza.

Great win. If we can take game 2 watch out. Beal and Ariza were great tonight obviously but credit to Gooden. I saw people in here ****ing about him tonight but he was huge especially on the offensive glass.

I was one of those people ******** about Gooden, he went on a stint where he was crapping the bed. But he turned it around. No complaints, he BALLED...
