You can't say this isn't a great look...

"But white isn't one of our colors!!!" as everyone says. How can the jerseys be white? / Anyway, I really like the white pants but I am coming around to the gold as well. I only associate the white pants with the last 20 years of losing since I was 5 during the 91 season, so it's not nostalgia of past glory. I like them because I think they look good. But the gold is growing on me, so I guess either way I am happy.

I dont see anything wrong with a black alternate even if it isn't one of our official colors. There are examples of black alternates that look good and then those that don't. The Chicago Bulls black alternates look great imo as do the Pro Combats VT wore a couple years ago against Boise State. The Eagles black alternates I don't like because they are just solid black and poorly designed. Black and Burgundy is a nice color combo so throw in some gold in there and I think Nike could do something good with it. I also think that pic of Zorn is one of the least confused he ever looked while with us...lol

How come nobody complains about white not being one of our colors when it comes to the jersey? I guess that should be ok because that is what they always did back in the day. White is everybody's color and I just want us to have a great looking, modernized uniform which imo doesn't include gold pants. ---------- Post added May-15th-2012 at 10:30 AM ---------- This sounds a little too much like FSU, which, while a blatant ripoff of the Redskins, is more commonly linked with that look. I am open to a black jersey if done right and doesn't look like we went Oregon Ducks on it.

I am all for updating the uniform completely. I'd be excited to see Nike do some very nice things to modernize our uniform while also keeping a classic Redskins look (BC uniforms not the answer) I just think gold is better served as a trim color for us even if it is a primary color. I don't like the large portions of gold on our uniforms. Just not a fan of the color. Then again, I liked the new Seattle uniforms too. I thought they were very "Seattle" but had a clean modern look. Way better than their last two styles.

I do not like the gold pants at all on the 80th Anniversary Unis or the bright gold we have sported the past couple years.I prefer the white and burgundy pants/jersey combos including all burgundy and all white alternates. They are just fresh. The gold pants seem so dated and 70s I always hear "here comes the funk" in my head when I see them. Maybe they should put shag carpet in the locker rooms to match...
