And the 6ers just traded away their best player ( though locker room cancer) as well..... analytics are not giving me a good feeling. Have the 6ers won anything? No? But lets look at how they run things for inspiration!!!!!!!

No. People are acting like we finally made some forward thinking decisions.
For what it’s worth, which may be little (and quite honestly is very unlikely) Sweat or Young (or both) could re-sign here next year still and we’d have the draft picks, too.
That won’t happen… but it could. It’s forward thinking and it’s smart.
That doesn’t mean other moves will follow suit.
I understand and even agree with trading the players. I am just totally disappointed in the return for Young. 49ers knew noone is actually in charge here and could offer the minimum to get a potentially great player. And we couldnt push back because we are in limbo.

why are you assuming he'd stay if we got an incompetant GM
Im not. But everyone is acting like we suddenly have a good FO. We dont. Nor are guaranteed to. Harris kept Doc Rivers in charge of the 76ers for how long. Doesnt give me a ton of confidence in him getting the right people in place.

Yeah and it's not just the draft, going to have some free agency money this year that a competent GM will know how to use wisely to complement the draft.
Why are we assuming we get a competent GM?

Sacks of what... ?
Cerrato? That you? Still dont know what sacks are? They are when you tackle the qb behind the line of scrimmage.

I said one offseason to stay in Wildcard contention, which we could have limped to this year.
You noticed we lost to the Giants and Browns right. We werent limping to anything but a top 10 pick. Now maybe a top 5 pick.

The team doesn't need a 3 year rebuild. One aggressive off-season with good drafting and FAs should keep the team in Wildcard contention + trending upward.
Way too many holes for one offseason

I hope this does not end up looking like the Trent Williams trade.
It will

Chase for a 3rd... I think of it as a disappointment, then I remember it's only a disappointment when I consider his draft position, not his performance.
He'll be a journeyman in a couple years. I clowned him, then gave him credit when he actually looked like he wanted to be out there, then realized what kind of player he was over the last several weeks. Feast against bad O-Lines, nowhere against good O-Lines and can even get held-up by TE's. It may not be desire, it's NFL-ability.
He will hold a lombardi in SF as the bookend to Bosa. And stay there for the next 7+ years feasting on o lines across the league. And we will remember we traded him for basically a 4th.

Hopefully this is posturing / negotiating through the press. "Up your offers or we're done"
Its not. Keim doesnt help posture

I think the best thing about the Chase Young trade is watching JDR change his defense philosophy. He would countless times just rush 4 having to much faith these guys will get home only to just get burned. Now he might actually be more aggressive.
He wont. He isnt smart enough. Or just stubborn enough to think he is smarter than everybody else. Despite plenty of proof otherwise.

I don't get the Kyle Shanahan hate.
He was a really good OC for us. Yeah, he's a bit of a prick. But Dan messed all that up, not Kyle. All Kyle did is turn Rex Grossman into something resembling a passable QB, and Griffin into an OROTY winner.
Kyle was not well liked while he was here, and I never got it.
Cause he is an arrogant prick who , along with his father, couldnt stop talking about this franchise. We know it was bad. Move on and shut up.

Young's talent is overrated and not valued highly by the rest of the league.
More like league thinks they can walk all over the current/new regime.

Not talking bout Sweat.

I cannot express strong enough my dissapointment in the new ownership already. Good teams do not give away young talent for next to nothing.

Yes but we then ran a play at 218 that took more than 3 seconds
That I cannot explain.

After the no catch the clock was at 205 we run another play and the eagles get it back at 215 makes no sense
Incomplete catch reset the clock to 2:18

Yes but low. Terry has to drop to get to the level. Put it on him while running.

2 bad throws. Put it in his chest
