Being pessimistic and critical about various moves and decisions that have been made is absolutely fine. It's been a justifiable ES staple during the Snyder era. 😐

But if you're going to comment repeatedly in our current discussions, maybe try bringing more to the table than one or two sentence posts that are simplistic summaries of your "feels" or jabs at other posters' views. Add some meat to dem bones.

As Captain Picard would say, "Engage." 😛 🙂

I tried last night. I dont have anything left with which to argue. I dont see it being worth my much more valuable time. Think I will just leave the board now. I come here to vent, but looks like I will just have to take that somewhere else. Used to like this place......

My guess is he didn't watch JD a whole lot and as a result has pegged him as a running QB. Sports fandom in the social media era is being right first and supporting the team second.

Will you ever fill us in as to why?

I have. Not worth screaming into the crowd of blind optimism anymore.

Welcome to DC young man!!    Ya'll gonna remember this draft as the one we finally transformed this organization ON the field.   What an amazing time to be a Washington fan!!!!

    Dude WTF is your problem?

I would literally be less upset if they had drafted a kicker last night.

There are plenty of concerns with Daniels, but 1 read and go isn’t one of them, IMO.

He had moments of not doing it, but I saw it happen more often than not. The issue is, his 1st read was usually so wide open, he just threw the ball. But when covered, his instinct was to just take off. If he can fix it, good. If not, he wont last and we have wasted another shot at a franchise qb.

There's a QB thread and JD5 thread to discuss QBs.

Unless you want to talk about drafting Milton or Pratt on day two, please keep it in those two other threads.

Responded in here to someone else... but sure...........................

I'm expecting NE to take him at 35

Would definitely make sense for them. I would really love their draft so far if they did.

I hear you.... I don't know if he can learn, but it's what we need to be pushing him towards

Oh I agree. I just dont think it will happen

To the extent it can be taught....

JD needs to be a scramble to pass or a scramble and get out of bounds type of runner in the NFL

If he did that, i wouldnt be so upset about the pick. But he just doesnt do that. He checks his 1st read and then runs. He will be broken in half by the end of the 1st quarter of game 1.

Winning games in college is not a translatable skill to the NFL.

I wish more people would understand this concept.

His jukes are gonna take too long to do in the NFL.  He'll make a guy miss, but then get plastered by the 2nd guy, so he's gonna need to just get down or out of bounds.

The good thing is he's got enough acceleration that by the time the defense knows he's taking off he's gotten 10 yards.  And that's more than enough to move the sticks in the NFL even without him needing to make guys miss.  Just take the 8 yards and the 1st down.  The big 40 yard runs will happen, but he shouldn't be looking for them.

That just isnt in his nature.

Okay okay okay. I’m on board. The dude knows what he wants, what he sees, what he plans to do. I’m all-in (with my preexisting concerns lurking).

Peters is a stud btw. He’s clearly built for this, but he’s also already got the media here in the palm of his hand, effortlessly. That’s going to come in handy in the coming years.

I feel worse after watching that. Glad you feel better. I just dont see it.

He compared him to Fields as a runner... Fields is arguably the best running QB in the NFL.

Hmmm. Yet for some reason I would rather have Brady or Manning. They couldnt run at all. The qb has to throw the ball. I do not care about running around. Running around increases hits. Not a good option for a stick figure.

Time for you to get some sleep, it's late. You'll feel better in the morning when you realize this guy who people were begging to get hired might just know what he's doing.

I thought he did. Not so sure now..... just might be a reason he turned down interviews last year....

And how can I feel good about such an obvious bust at #2?
