  1. Well. Just got a call from a very nice lady at the ticket office. She wanted to know if it was all right for her to knock me over with a feather. I said SURE! Not used to calls like this. I usually am the one calling.

Congrats, have you updated your profile "location" yet? With that luck, you might consider buying a lottery ticket this week.

  2. With our 1st scheduled preseason game 1 month away. Does anyone know when the team mails out our season tickets.

I suspect they will hesitate to send the tickets to the printer until the CBA is in place (maybe not ratified, but the terms are sufficiently certain). If they printed all the tickets, but the season schedule later changed as a result of the ongoing dispute, that would be terribly inconvenient.

They could always announce that the prematurely issued tickets would be good for the rescheduled game, but all things being equal, there is no incentive to print them before the deal is done (or at least wait as long as possible, then hope for the best).

  3. Wouldn't prices have to rise as these contracts get more and more out of hand? I would assume if they set some sort of maximum contract the tickets might be able to drop. However I could be wrong.

Not to get too far off topic, but my understanding of the current proposal is that the players will probably accept a smaller percentage of a larger (and ever growing) pie. Most teams have hit the ceiling for ticket prices, but the NFL is positioning itself to make most of its money off TV deals. Also, the impending rookie contract cap will take a huge edge off that problem.

Point being, the player salaries and the ticket prices will probably bear a more attenuated relationship to each other under the new CBA.

  4. I do wonder though, if they are saying B3 lot, does that mean you no longer can park in any lot with green passes? Weird.

If that's the case, wouldn't it make more sense to create a new 'color' lot, to minimize confusion?

  5. Got a call today from the ticket office about parking passes. Jeff Ritter I believe the name was? I didn't call back being I just got home a little while ago and I assume they would be closed. This is my first year as a season ticket owner and I was wondering if anyone knew why they might be calling me. Obviously I should only be given gray parking. Are they opening another lot (being Copper is closed) and I'm being given the option to choose?

Just curious if anyone has ever been called by him or anything. I'll find out tomorrow and let everyone know what happens.

maybe they have a special deal if you wanted to upgrade to "orange" parking... :-)

  6. They called me after the weekend of the draft and offered to move me from endzone in the upper level to sideline on the lower level. Just the way they operate.

Say what?! Was the offer for OV/POV?

  7. Yeah, York doesn't seem like much of a distance to me either. My wife and I used to come in for every home game from Scranton, PA until we moved down to the DC area.

I renewed and I live over 1,000 miles away! Of course, I can't make it to every game, but I can't believe folks would complain about a 90 minute drive :-)
