Is this televised?
On Fox starting at 1 PM, even though the game doesn't start until 2 PM.

How was Man City bailed out? Barton did a completely moronic thing and deserved to be sent off, which took several minutes to get him off the field and allowing for there to be 5 additional minutes of stoppage time. Man City won on their own accord and saying they were bailed comes off as sour grapes. Maybe if Man United hadn't lost to City twice this season then they and their fans would be celebrating right now.

So did Chelsea just lay down to the Reds or what? 4-1 now.
It appears Chelsea is putting all their eggs in one basket, which of course is winning next Saturday's UEFA CL Final. Chelsea had a chance to get into the top 4, even the top 3 if they had taken care of their last couple of EPL games, which they haven't done, or seemed to really care with the line ups that are being sent out.

Roma in '84. When Liverpool went into their backyard and spoilt the Roman party.
Which lead to some shocking violence with Lazio fans out on the streets of Rome defending us that night. All of which aided in building upto the tragedy in Belgium a year later. But that's another story.
Hail.
Thanks for the knowledge. I could have sworn I heard the announcers say during today's match that if Bayern won that they would be the first team to play in a CL Final since Inter in '65, but obviously they and I were wrong.
-
Bayern advance to play at home vs. Chelsea. The first team to have play in a Champions League Final in their home stadium since Inter Milan in '65.
-
That couldn't have been any uglier by Ramos.
-
And Kaka as well. Bayern has control now.

Wow! 2 misses for each side.

What a surprise Ronaldo misses a PK in a big time opportunity? Where have I seen that before?

Anybody know if that Chelsea/Barcelona Semi's will be shown on ESPN or CSN?I believe I saw that it will be on FX
Tomorrow's game will be on FSC (Fox Soccer) and Wednesday's game will be on FX.
-
The next 8 days will be great with Chelsea @ Barca on Tuesday, Bayern @ Real on Wednesday, Stoke @ Aresnal on Saturday, and then Man Utd @ Man City on Monday.

anyone see the new USMNT home jerseys? When will the retire the pageant stripe? I think it's time to let Under Armor design the uniforms....
Well luckily this won't be the World Cup jersey, since another kit will be coming out in another 2 years.

I wouldn't count City out of the title chase just yet. All it's going to take is one tie or loss by United and for City to beat United at home on the 30th. Crazy how an 8 point lead a week ago is down to only 2 points. Even crazier is how City looks like a completely different team the past two games compared to the team that was dominated by Arsenal last Saturday.

It appears as if Fabio Capello is "resigning" as England's manager. Can't say I'm surprised after his comments opposing the decision to strip John Terry of his captaincy.

I don't know why Norwood should be buying Cundiff any beers. Yes, Cundiff did miss a huge kick to tie the AFC Championship up.
Norwood missed a game winning FG in the Super Bowl.
Norwood's miss >>>>>>>>> Cundiff's miss

No the game is in Alabama and I have finals and projects to finish up. They are busing students who want to go down there for the day, but I don't know what they are majoring in to be able to pick up and leave right in the middle of finals like that lol. Must be nice. I would love to go.
I follow international soccer and try to stay on top of the big happenings in club soccer. It's easy to follow college soccer though since i actually have a team I'm loyal to besides team USA.
Is the Final Four for the men's college soccer not being shown on ESPN2? I could have sworn that usually the Final Four and Championship game was shown either on ESPN or ESPN2.

Norris Cole is a huge get for the Heat.

Kasey Keller's still playing? Jeez, how old is that dude now? Has to be in his 40's surely.
Sweet strike, the ol' dude between the posts shouldn't get beaten from there.
Hail.
I would say most keepers in the world are getting beat on that shot, from that angle.
Keller is 41, and is still one of the best, if not the best keeper, in MLS.
There are several keepers in their 40s who are playing at an elite level such as Brad Friedel (40) and Edwin van der Sar (40) are still considered elite keepers in the game.

Just saw two WWE trucks heading down 270. I wonder if they do prep for the PPV in a few weeks at Verizon.
The routine for any big event (concert, WWE, etc...) they'll come in 2 or 3 days beforehand, at most to prep for a show. You won't see any WWE event being staged/prepped weeks in advance.

3 re-takes? Darn, how'd that go down man?
Hail.
It was 2 re-takes, 3 kicks total.
Kenny Cooper did a stutter step both times he attempted the PK and Hamid came off his line early both times and then Portland's coach had Jewsberry take the 3rd PK (made it with ease), and Cooper was visibly upset. Then about 2 mins later Cooper was pulled out of the game.

With the way Messi is playing tonight I can't see how he doesn't finish with the game winning goal or assist. He's been close multiple times, and it's only a matter of time before he finishes or sets up an easy finish for a teammate.

atdhe.net will doubtless have up some great streams.
Very rare I have a problem with that site.
Hail.
Yeah, that site no longer exists.

I was definitely impressed with the 2nd half and I think Bradley needs to stick with 2 strikers in Altidore and Agudelo, instead of only Altidore up top. We were definitely much more aggressive with 2 strikers in the 2nd half and put pressure on Argentina's defense.
I wasn't too impressed with Jermaine Jones, I had higher expectations from him and he deserved to be pulled at half, and the defense was shaky at best, too many times Messi and just another attacker were able to break down 5 or 6 guys; however, Howard showed why he is the best keeper in the world with his play tonight.

Well it is New Jersey in March not in June/July, but the point is the stadiums were there. I'm positive the field would have been ready weeks in advance during warmer months.
I don't think a lack of stadiums were a reason as to why we didn't get the '22 WC bid. I honestly believe Qatar's pitch and promise of these state of the art stadiums, which look visually stunning, helped sway the votes to them to be the host for 2022.
-
Hey FIFA, look at how beautiful the stadium would have looked for the World Cup.
Too bad the field is complete garbage. We will get a WC either in '26 or '30, it's sad that it's at least 15 years away.
