And I like the fact that Peyton knows Daniels and endorses him. Peyton isn't always the easiest dude to please.  I recall watching some of his QB takes on Wentz and Trubisky and it wasn't all kind and that was before it was cool to trash those QBs.

Obviously it's early and there are no pads and guys arent getting popped, but im a fan of trends, common indicators, and echoed sentiments from a range of individuals. JD seems to be getting the early stamp of approval from various voices and i like it. Hope it continues into camp, and from what ive heard thus far theres no reason to believe it wont:

    - Peyton: We can now add one of the best to ever do it as a fan of the kid

    - Saban: One of the best in college ball was a fan during the draft process, also not known for being effusive with praise; admitted JD was toughest dude they played/defended (Believe Bill Belichick said he was a fan of JD watching him at LSU's pro day last year, but dont remember full quote)

    - Kingsbury: Says JD is ahead of the game and super impressed with his study habits and love for the game

    - Adam Peters: Blown away from/after diving into JD's tape

    - DQ: "Dog ass competitor", talked about JD already being on top of playbook and being a leader

    - Herm & Brian Kelly: Might seem easy to include them but we all know college coaches arent always fans of former players going to the league or are very clear guys need a lot of work/arent ready. Clear opposite with both

    - Team mates with varying experience: Hartman, Dotson, Sennot, Ertz have all been high on the rookie and very impressed with his showing and preparedness

    - Media: Not really including them because it can be a toss-up, but i follow so many accounts on twitter and truly havent seen a real critique or concern thus far. If anything, it's nice to hear media members say he looks bigger/more built in person than they thought. Keim and Paulsen are the two that i really pay attention to and they seem to speak highly.

Fully aware it's early, but i like what's being said from different voices. Especially from a spectrum of folks who have been around and seen it all whether playing, coaching, or covering players. Surely exciting times.

Marcus is a baller, fun watch.  Emphasized him some on the draft thread.  When he ran the 4.8 turned me off a little but watching him again some he looks faster than that as to game speed

I agree that his game speed looked faster than what's been clocked. Long legs make strides look like he's hauling. I'll have an eye and ear out for him in camp.

  3. Excited to watch more clips of him. His size yet style of play are so intriguing. Caught a fair number of Mich games as they were the top team and always on natl' tv. All i can say is this guy was always jumping off the screen and making plays.

I've also heard a lot about his stellar leadership on and off the field. I have a feeling he makes a quick impact and sees his way on the field early, size be damned.

  4. Great interview with the WR from Georgia, Rosemy-JackSaint. Some quotes thats stuck out to me, especially the first. He mentioned the same things i noticed when i watched his clip posted a few pages back.

Marcus Rosemy-Jacksaint Draft Networking Interview: 'I Can Play Just About Anywhere'

JM: You have outstanding size for the position. You’re 6-foot-1 and 195 pounds with 33-inch arms and 10-inch hands. How do you use size to your advantage?

Marcus Rosemy-Jacksaint: That’s the thing. I’ve never been a super-fast guy with 4.2 speed. That’s just not my game. I’ve always relied on technique more than anything. Using my size to box out my opponents at the catch point has always been a big part of my game.

I use my long arms to highpoint the football. Most defensive backs can’t match my size or my length. I can beat a defensive back at the catch point. Having strong hands helps. I love utilizing size to my advantage.

JM: We love the way you use your size on tape. Does Marcus Rosemy-Jacksaint have a favorite route to run?

Marcus Rosemy-Jacksaint: The whole route tree, man (laughs). I just love running routes in general. I’ve never felt like I had one specific route that I liked running more than others. I love the entire route tree.

JM: Can you see yourself playing that “Big Slot” position at the next level?

Marcus Rosemy-Jacksaint: Oh yeah, definitely. I feel like I can play inside and outside. I can play slot receiver, or I can play as a boundary receiver. It doesn’t matter where you line me up at. I’m going to make plays and get the job done regardless.

  5. Not sure if AP is joking here and he was indeed a nepo pick or he was genuinely high on our board as BPA/a scout banged the table for him, but AP says CMC sent him a message 30mins before the pick saying to take his brother LOL. Jokes aside, not even mad. The pedigree, natural talent and progression at the position shows he can be a guy given more coaching/chances. Just thought it was funny lol -

Like this one A LOT. Would be my pick to have the best chance to make the squad.

    Dont know much about him but there's some things I like from this short vid (and some quick post-watch Googling);

    1) Great size at 6'2 and nearly 200lbs

    2) Not a burner but far from slow/a plodder

    3) Contested catcher (throw him in that group with Terry and Luke) + great high-pointing the ball

    4) But the biggest 2 things for me: Hands, hands, hands; real hands catcher + very nice catch radius

WR room is a toss up after Terry and Dot, would love to hear him make some noise in camp and possibly make it through

I don't know who this Sam hartman guy is but my wife sure seems to like him.

Seems our QB room is made up of some pretty boys lol. My mom asked if i liked the JD pick and after i explained why i did, she said she saw some highlights and he's a cutie. Smiling emoji included. Idk, pops might have to square up with the kid 😂

Yeah it came off in a question with Beck, he wasn't bragging about it or anything, he just talked about how relentless he is.  Same thing Brian Kelly was touting yesterday on vaarious draft shows -- Daniels work ethic.  I think it was Keim who said he heard they had to come up with a way at the LSU faciluty so he could come in 5 amish to work.

This bit was awesome to me when AP echoed it. AP (re)told this story during his presser on night one. He mentioned how LSU had to change the passcodes to the facility so JD could come in early and stay late. That's my QB1. It's mentioned around 11:10 in the below video -

He’s repping them because he’s an actual student there for an MBA program. Started as online courses, but said it changes things now that he’s actually living here.

Really? Oh that's an awesome scoop, I had no idea! That would cool as hell for the school and student body if he was able to manage some on-campus classes. Could maybe present an opportunity to do some sort of collab between the team and school (just throwing stuff out there). Either way, love he's taking that next step for post-career, especially at a local HBCU.

Love the hoodie repping Howard U. Nice small touch to ingratiate himself to the DMV area. Can't wait to see this guy on the field, have always admired his game and leadership.
