  1. If Mark Cuban buys the Rangers, then keeping Lee might become a possibility.
  2. Not a good loss for the Rangers tonight. Cauysed me to drink two jooses and that has its repercussions.
  3. We're not really taking on salary, because before making the deal, the other team agrees to pretty much pay all of the outgoing player's salary. While we're on the topic though, this whole situation might, just MIGHT, get solved by next week. There is an auction set for August 4th which could make things a lot more clear. edit: also, it's a running joke amongst us Rangers fans to cheer "Good game, MLB!" after wins.
  4. We needed more production out of firts base since the Rangers by far had the least 1B production of nay team. Collectively we've hit about .200 from that spot. Plus we needed a righty bat to split time with the lefty we currently have. Rangers also traded for Cristian Guzman from the Nats today.
  5. The Rangers traded for Jorge Cantu. I had thought that eventually this would happen.
  6. Now I gotta start looking more at the A's since they are in 2nd place. They completely shut us down last night.
  7. Didn't he get escorted out by police? I think I remember something like that.
  8. This was actually his 4th start with us. I'd say this one was his best (he's pitched into the 9th in all four starts). And the one run he allowed was unearned, helped out by nobody covering 2nd base on a steal attempt. The throw was perfect and would have gotten the third out of the inning. And in the bottom of the 9th, Ian Kinsler popped out on a 3-0 count with runners on the corners to ruin Lee's hope for a W. You just don't swing on a 3-0 count right there...completely bailed the A's out. Lee was scintillating. But Nellie took care of business with the walkoff in the 10th. Lee may not have gotten a W, but he was the real winner. Rangers now up 8 games on the Angels and 8.5 on the A's. And you were talking so much **** about this team before the season.
  9. 5 no-hitters and the Rays have been involved in 3 of them.
  10. Rangers take 3 of 4 from the Angels. :wavetowel
  11. Too bad we lost tonight. But I was fully expecting it with Feldman starting. I trust that Tommy Hunter will get Texas back in the win column. Haha I'm used to being a fan of a relocated team. I'm also a Stars fan. :pfft:
  12. Go Rangers! Awesome you will have to discuss them with me in here! I've been a hardcore fan my whole life. Of course it is just the Rangers part of the franchise since I'm too young for the Senators. Mr. Ranger, Tom Grieve is being inducted into the Rangers HOF tonight!
  13. No joke, that was probably the strangest series of our season. We get swept at home in FOUR games by the O's. Then we come out of the break and win 3 of 4 at Fenway, 2 of 3 at Comerica, and then take the first one against our top rival. Just weird.
  14. Nice night for Cliff Lee to get his first win in a Rangers uniform: against our top rival. Could have probably finished off the complete game.
  15. Here it is for your viewing pleasure: http://mediadownloads.mlb.com/mlbam/2010/07/16/mlbtv_texbos_9966159_500.mp4 "Pigs have flown in Boston!" :rotflmao:
  16. Ladies and gentlemen, the most unlikely cycle in MLB history just occurred. Bengie Molina...one of the slowest guys on earth, hit a triple to finish it off. He hit a single in the 2nd, a double in the 4th, a grand slam in the 5th, and the WTF triple in the 8th. Watching Molina run is so painful. When he rounded first base, the commentators were going crazy willing him on the 3rd. It is well worth the watch on mlb.com when the highlights are posted. :rotflmao:
  17. This means that games 3, 4, and 5 of the World Series will be played in Arlington, TX.
  18. The AL is gonna regret not having late inning All Star hero Michael Young on their team.
