  1. "How to Die in Oregon." An extremely depressing, but really well done documentary about terminally ill Oregonians who talk about how they decided to sign up for doctor assisted suicide to end their suffering.

This movie is currently getting 100% on rottentomatoes.com. One of the best documentaries I've ever seen.

I think there should be a whole thread just for documentaries, because there are so many good ones, and it's like a whole different genre from regular movies.

  2. You're a Cowboys fan, what do you know? ;)

Seriously though, as I said in the RTT, I am a sucker for some cheeseball movies, but it really isn't a bad movie. And IMDB isn't right about everything, as I frequent tthat website as often as possible. I don't know if you've seen it or not, but it's not as bad as some people have made it out to be over the years. It is (was) something different though. I would definitely say that it is a little underrated.

At the very least, one can appreciate the fact that they used real actors to play the killer apes. Yeah, it has a little 90's cheesiness to it, but I still liked it.

Yeah I've seen it and could barely get through the whole thing. :ols:

Not as bad as See Spot Run though. :ols: David Arquette is easily the worst actor the world has ever seen. :ols:

  3. But he is in LA. Wouldn't he root for NEW ORLEANS? Anyway **** **** **** em hard, **** the cowboys.

But he's closer to Dallas than New Orleans! :ols:

    oh well, carry on. ;)

    Actually Dallas ~> Shreveport= 178 mi

    Norfolk ~> Wash, DC= 145 mi

I'm going on driving distance. And you can't drive in a straight line from Norfolk to DC like you can from Shreveport to Dallas. It would take longer to drive from Norfolk to DC than it does from Shreveport to Dallas. Regardless, all I'm saying is that it's not like he lives in California or something.

  4. Oh, a Cowboys fan! How are things in the DFW?

    "Shreveport, LA"

Should have known. Go **** yourself and tell your team to do the same.

ya know, it's only 3 hours from Dallas to Shreveport. Shreveport is closer to Dallas than Norfolk, VA is to Wash DC. ;)

  5. Guys

I want to make something clear

I am an Orioles fan who listens to radio all over the country

I am not a Padre fan however I do frequently listen to their radio broadcasts and if I had MLB TV I would most definitely watch Mr Enberg all the time

The reason I wanted the Padres to win was partly because of loyalty to XX 1090 but also the three-way tie that would have happened had Braves lost and Padres won

The three way tie could only have occurred had both the Braves and Padres won.

  6. If he's able to go one hundred percent, that gives the Rangers a big time upgrade. If they don't take the series, it'll at least go to a fifth game.

He will definitely help us out, that's for sure. Hell, the Rangers may not win in the ALDS, but Hamilton is the best player in the AL right now, and I feel 100% confident saying that. It's too bad he's been injured the last month or he would have won MVP easily. IMO, it will all come down to Game #1. Cliff Lee will be pitching for us on Wednesday for the first game, whether it is in New York or Tampa. If the Rangers can escape with a Game 1 win, then it's ****ing on. We are much improved at the pitching position than previous years, but not good enough IMO to recover from a Game 1 loss from our ace.
