Are you suggesting that Conyers has been milking the American people for 40 years and that Trump hasn’t? Just looking for clarity.
Not at all. Only that one was doing it with OUR money.

It is definitely time for him to step down. But being honest, I wouldn't mind seeing him pull an 'I'll step down when the POTUS is help to the same standards and scrutiny'. Just to turn this thing on his head. And I wouldn't be above using the race card.
Hold on a minute. You have a man that has been a member of Congress since Lyndon Johnson was President .And has been using OUR MONEY to pay for his deviance. On the other side you have an idiot who has been in politics for one year. They are both trash. Unfortunately only one of them has been milking the American people for 40 years. We are way beyond "same standards" here.

I feel dirty all the time watching Republicans.
The feeling is mutual from the other side. What does that tell you about the current state of OUR Congress. Everyone of them needs to be voted out in their primaries.

Okay, Democrats acting responsibly.
Republicans still putting party first and screwing over We the People.
Responsibly would be resigning from Congress. I dont care which side of the isle you are on. If you used OUR MONEY to pay for your deviant behavior you need to go.

I am so torn on this right now. We all have to make choices. I am completely FOR the RIGHT of the players to kneel or do whatever they want as a sign of protest during the anthem. But I also have the RIGHT not to contribute either financially or emotionally to a bunch of spoiled multi millionaires who want to use something sacred to me as a political pawn.
So it is with a heavy heart that I will be stepping away from Extremeskins, the NFL and my beloved Redskins for a while. I will give no support of any kind to the NFL, its sponsors or any of it's players until they decide to stop the protests during the anthem. Those of you that know me know that until recently my family had season tickets since 1969. We are a REDSKINS FAMILY. But my family also has a long history of military service and love of country. I cannot personally contribute to the league in its current condition.
I wish all of my Extremeskins family well. And I will be back when/If the protesting during the anthem stops. For me it really comes down to doing something instead of talking about it. And like I said we all have our own choices to make.
Best Wishes,
Chris

With Trevor Siemian now beating out Paxton Lynch, don't be surprised if Elway goes after Cousins hard next year.
I dont think Siemian winning that competition is all that surprising though. He has the experience over Lynch. I still think Lynch is the future there. And wont be shocked to see him play quite a bit this season. But I agree there will be interest in Kirk from multiple teams. Hopefully he plays well this year and we can sign him up at the end of the season.

Old Redskins Park used to be "out in the sticks" near Dulles in Herndon, I believe. Before the move to Ashburn. Usually closed to all public
Yes. Old Redskin park was right across Route 28 from Dulles Airport. We used to sneak in there as teens and fish in the creek that ran close to it.

Man. I was just going through some old Youtube favorites and come across this. I AM IN NO WAY trying to start some stupid QB controversy garbage. But how fun was this play? 2012 was really something special:
Edit: That was definitely about as loud as I have ever heard Skins fans since the 80's

I would have assumed this thread was dead after the refs gave us a free fumble against the Browns? Guess not.
-
I was in the small minority that blasted the RG3 trade on here. It was nothing to do with him being frail. Although already having one ACL in college was a major red flag. It was more about the offense he ran in college and not knowing how that would translate to the NFL game. I just thought it was a huge price to pay for an unproven NFL level QB. I ate my humble pie in 2012. The guy was incredible in that offense. But he still hasnt shown the ability to run an NFL offense. It is a shame he cant seem to get over the injury issues at the NFL level. I was really hoping to watch us decimate the Browns with him at QB in week 4. I wish him luck on his recovery.

Worth noting.
Pete Morelli's crew was punished by the NFL for their atrocious week 12 game calling and removed from officiating the Redskins/Cowboys Monday night game.
Perhaps the NFL doesn't trust these refs to follow the script and reassigned them? Either way, seems like we dodged a bullet by not getting stuck with the NFL's least competent officiating crew in arguably our biggest game of the year.
Also, in an added twist, I added the below article because it originally said that this crew was supposed to officiate the Monday night Redskins/Cowboys game but as of 10:20 this morning the story was changed to say that they lost the chance to officiate the Sunday night Colts/Steelers game. Sort of a weird discrepancy....
This is good news. We get Walt Andersons crew instead. They are a solid group.

"... Dallas, the fans hate them, we hate them ...". -- Ryan Kerrigan, 2015
Anyone got the video of this? WOuld love to see the whole quote

There was a thread a couple of weeks back about who our most hated rival is. Dallas was losing steam with the younger crowd it seems. For you young guys. This thread will help you understand the absolute hate us older fans have of the Cowboys. Dallas week wasnt just some thing we talked about. We lived it. Everywhere you went around the area there were signs up saying "Beat Dallas" or something along those lines. The entire area was united in one goal. And that was the destruction of the Dallas Cowboys. At the 82 NFC Championship game I was a 13 year old kid that was lucky enough to have parents with season tickets. It was the height of my fandom. The pinnacle of being a Redskins fan. And a moment I will never forget as long as I live.

This whole color on color thing the NFL is doing, I think is having the opposite effect.
People tune in to make fun of how ridiculous the unis look.
Dont think they care as long as people do indeed tune in

Redskins wide receiver Pierre Garcon has filed a class action lawsuit on behalf of all NFL players against fantasy football site FanDuel...
...the receiver alleges that FanDuel “knowingly and improperly exploits the popularity and performance of Garçon, along with all the other National Football League (“NFL”) players at offensive skilled positions without their authority or a valid license. In addition, through a comprehensive television advertising campaign, Defendant FanDuel routinely uses the names and likenesses of some of these NFL players without authorization to promote FanDuel’s commercial enterprise, collecting huge revenues from entry fees.”

Ha. Ie....I want my cut of the action.

This card really is ridiculous. Even the undercard fights are sick.

No offense but the dream seats didn't cause people to stand. I have stood whole games prior to dream seats.
Agreed. It goes back to RFK. I havent sat at a game ever. Its just the way it is in the lower bowl behind the Skins.

I think D. Hall added some quotes for this thread this week.
The Gun Control Debate Thread
in The Tailgate
Posted · Edited by clskinsfan
Funny. All of the anti gun media has done nothing but increase the NRA membership numbers and gun sales to an all time high. I am perfectly fine with stronger background checks (I have nothing to hide) and even giving up my AR's if need be (There are tons of perfectly functioning alternatives). But if any of you anti gun folks think any law will stop a criminal from getting a gun you are naive. That genie left the bottle the day the Constitution was written. You will certainly be successful in disarming law abiding citizens though.
Edit: And I apologize for quoting the large picture. But it is kind of relevant to my post.
