Do you guys think the Man from UNCLE is going to be a disappointment or maybe good? I wanted to believe it will be good and go see it, but when I saw a preview where they had the commentator to say "just as good as James Bond", it crushed my hopes in this movie and now I am definitely skeptical.  

Does anyone know the name of that businessman who always sits courtside at the Wizards games? He was just on the History channel giving commentary analysis on the History channel of the "Building America" show. I know he is a big businessmen or something.  

Edit: It was Steve Case, he was on the History Chanel talking about the rise of Ford Motor Company, and I was like "man he is always at the basketball games on TV"

Does anyone know why Steph Curry was so mad after the Nick Johnson handshake at pregame? They were showing highlights tonight of him being upset after meeting halfcourt with captains, what is the reason for being upset? 

Quick question kinda OT: I am visiting some folks coming up and plan on going to see the Avengers movie.  My dad doesn't go to many movies, and he wears glasses.  Will that affect him if he wants to watch the movie in 3D?

Otto Porter is a bust, I am calling it. If he had. juice, he would produce. But - no juice. Just a role player, not a major contrbutor. NBA ready is a nice way of saying 7th man off the bench ready.

I'd be careful about saying this.  There are so many G-Town and Otto supporters who say how great he is going to be that it might hurt a lot of feelings in here.  Remember, he can't work his way into the line up because "we have too much talent on this team"

The ACC was top heavy but I'd argue that the B1G was stronger top to bottom.

 

We can only judge Maryland on how they played this year, against the opponents they played against.

To be honest, do you think Maryland would be the #8 team if they were still in the ACC? I don't.  I really think them moving to a conference with more relaxed competition is why they are ranked so high.   I think Maryland got a generous seed. 

I just thankful that we will get to pay a max deal to Bradley Beal and not Gordon Hayward, I can't imagine what they put in the water in Utah that would make them want to pay him so much money. 

If Pierce means we can bring back Booker, then I'm fine with Ariza leaving. I agree Pierce is about as decent 2 year stop gap to make up for Ariza loss. 

My question is did Ernie and Pierce's representatives been talking undercover for a while for plan B, or was this just all planned up within a few hours yesterday? Just interesting to wonder about it. 

I am not sure what to think of this move of letting Ariza go considering he is under 30 and he is not getting $10 plus mill a year.  My initial reaction wants to be angry for losing the talent, now if we replace it down the road next offseason with someone better I will be alright but I just don't have faith in Ernie and Teddy. 

Also, is it really that big of a deal to go over the salary cap? I thought the soft cap was to help us retain our own players.  Maybe this is the right decision, I really don't know, I just hope it's not Ted wanting to be cheap and settle for bronze. 

It's kind of depressing to think that some players go for money over championships when they already got millions. But thats the reality of it and you can not fault them one bit. A lot of people say that the players should take less money to help the team afford other players but why doesn't the owner just pay the tax if its that important? Makes me sad. 

Those players worked hard mentally and physically to get to where they are, I never blame a player for leaving for more money I always applaud them.  You worked so hard your whole life for you and your family, take every penny and don't feel bad at all.

Yeah Braves, I am. I just wish that our organization had a desire to go after a big time player like Lebron to at least add excitement to our organization, instead of just settling for mediocre.  I think we'll be good and I am proud of the team this year, it's just we always settle for bronze instead of going for gold. 

I don't know what's more funny, The wiz are going to be owned by the Cavs for years to come, or Ted saying in his blog he had no desire to even show interest in Lebron.  The Wizards are a losing organization who have no desire to move ahead.  I wish I was wrong.

Beal wasn't ready to contribute his rookie season. He was beyond awful for the first 30 games. He played because the other options were Jordan Crawford and Garrett Temple. A huge difference when compared to Webster and Ariza.

Porter was never ever going to get PT last year.

Im just saying, if he was that good last year, he would have at least broken into the lineup for some minutes.  Bradley Beal would have played regardless.  Webster was not that good at all last year and the fact that a #3 pick couldn't steal 5 of his minutes is incredible.
