Gonna make one post about officiating.

It's not, and never has been, a "rigged system" where crew members on some games have been "ordered" to "assist" certain teams to a win for whatever reasons would be proffered by the "believers."

Not trying to be insulting, but anyone who truly believes it is,  is simply not being intelligent.

The claim is not, from any rational, logical, or evidentiary approach, even remotely credible.

Refs can be bad at their task, and it's always theoretically possible that a given ref in a given circumstance allows some conscious or subconscious bias towards some team or player to affect him, but the league and each crew reviews all calls and competency.

Refs are dismissed without much publicity if failing to meet standards.

I think actual biased calls occur very, very rarely just by logical deduction when you consider all the factors involved.

Nonetheless, I also think officiating is still too incompetent, or more kindly, too many bad calls are made too often, to be accepting of the status quo.

Now even while I understand how difficult that job really is, I want changes like making the refs full time paid professionals that have to pass demanding examinations etc.

Hell, I'd like to see all key calls reviewed and even start looking at getting AI involved 🤓🤖😁.

Venting over gross incompetence and even calling for heads at this times is something I'm fully behind.

But the actual "fixed/rigged" dialogue is at best emo stuff that's almost always presented at an unintelligent level. At worst, it can read like spazzing stupidity.

Oh really? Explain how the eagles Did Not get called for any penalties last week?  It is Impossible that they did not commit atleast10 fouls much less just one

    Asking a lot here. 😆

But what happens is, when we have a good offensive game the D stinks, when we have good D (don't laugh) the O stinks. Been like that for years

  2. In my opinion the Redskins will not be relevant for a few years so they should off load dead weight and players who may have some value now that wont in 3 years. Suck up and take care of the monkey on their back called the guarantee to Smith. Don't splash but drip in FA, save cap space and when it comes to the draft, try and make trades to bank some money and more picks and start rebuilding this team next year.

I've got 10 years of fandom on you, and @LadySkinsFanhas 15 on me.

Just learn to roll your eyes and flash a whole hand...we had 2 championships before the NFL was formed, and 3 since. 👍

I've lived in Atlanta for 30 years. I can kill the day for any Falcons fan with the hand.

    I do it frequently. 😁

Just hang in there. 35 years is a long time, to jump now would be a bandwagon move, and Colts fans back in the day were persecuted for joining ours.

actually its 47 years I have been a fan since 1971. I had different names thru the years and I made that screen name back in 96 when we could change the screen name if we wanted but the new Extremeskins doesn't allow that. I have requested with admin to allow a change but every time I do I get no response. Hail. I get what you are saying its just frustrating year in and year out.

  4. Do I think we are really a playoff caliber team, No. I used to believe in the on any given Sunday kind of hope but the Redskins have all but dashed that belief. Well as far as the Redskins winning any given game that is,Other teams can and do survive with that motto. Even when we were 6-3 (seems so long ago) The only real thing I thought was doable was to win the division just to keep the other 3 out of the playoffs. That hope is now teetering on the edge of disappointment as the last 20 plus years have have been also because I do not think the Redskins will beat Philly on Monday night. The stars just don't seem to align for us, again. At mid season we seemed to be in control of our destiny being 2 games up on our rival and the schedule seemingly to be easy the rest of the way. Now we are chasing them and they are in control. And with the schedule they have left they just may win out. A friend of mine who knows my love for this team and our fight song has chided my that we should change the words starting with Hail to the Redskins he says it should be Fail do the Redskins. And sadly that fits this team from ownership thru coaching and even the players.(I.e. bone head play, penalties poor tackling etc)..Fail I mean Hail!

I hope Snyder doesn't know about this Kareem hunt situation

totally different scenario, there's proof undeniable on Hunt but an admitted liar claiming assault with Foster.

Will other teams now decide to start doing helmet to helmet hits against the Cowboys in retaliation? How long will the NFL continue to allow the Cowboys to get away with their helmet to helmet hits?

as well as the other calls they get away with

Yeah that’s true i was hoping against all hope in the first few minutes that the bears would make it a game after those few wild plays (interception, fumble, first down, and the eagles RB fumbling as well.

I guess I’ll have to hope the Seahawks and rams mess up against Philly (notice i wont be actively rooting for Philly) in the next few weeks :P

that's where the "unless its absolutely necessary" comes into play. And even then its hoping for the win not a trouncing. 3-0 works for me

And how did that reasoning work out ?? any other season you’d have a great point. This has been a crazy season in the nfl though, so hence why Philly keeps on winning.

Next year they’ll be back to their losing ways :)

As far as rooting for Chicago yeah i know but I could hope right? just like we are hoping on that the Redskins make it to the playoff as much of a long shot that it is. Look, for me, I find it very difficult to root for any NFC East team unless its absolutely necessary. I ask, was anyone here actually rooting for Philly? Hail

Why would Chicago help us?  Don't we want Philly to run the table from here since they've all but locked up the division?

    because its Philly?

    8 hours ago, Cooleyfan1993 said:

Yeah, i dont get that either. We aren’t catching the eagles, even if they somehow lose to the bears, which they won’t. That’ll be a blowout. The bears suck

    Because its Philly

So it looks like none of these results might happen.
