Perhaps the conversation with Jonah Williams is: we will pay you LT money but reserve the right to play you at LT or RT depending on how the draft shakes out... interested?

You really don't want to play Jonah Williams at RT. He stunk there. He's better than Wiley there but that's not saying much.

Maybe Mariota is going to be Sam's backup and we are trading back for a kings ransom and getting Alt! Is it still possible! Lol.

I definitely think we're trading back and drafting Alt. I could also see us drafting a QB in the 2nd as well like Nix or Penix.

Agree. Maye and Howell on the same team, with one backing up the other would be awkward, despite what either of them might say publicly.

    If it's my team:

    • We draft Drake Maye. Bigger player, stronger arm, moves well in the pocket, has run an offence with similar terminology as Kingsbury's and has a high ceiling at age 21 (vs. Daniels). But has iffy mechanics. So, we redshirt him for a year and sign...

    •  ....Ryan Tannehill as a UFA to start for one year, mentor the kid and gradually turn the starting role over to him when ready.

    • Sam Howell gets traded for a #4, which is about all we would get - and one round higher than his draft round.

Aaron Rodgers sat for three years, Kirk Cousins sat for nearly three years, Jordan Love sat for 3 years, Tony Romo sat for 2 years, Philip Rivers sat for 2 years, Tom Brady (!!!) sat for a year and a half, Pat Mahomes sat for a year, Drew Brees sat for a year, the list goes on.

    Patience....

I've actually thought about Tannehill as well as a stopgap.

I have some excellent ocean front property in Iowa for you.  Good price.

You can try to outbid @VaK9Trainer for my oceanfront property in Iowa.

    Still: good price.

You know man, Totally uncalled for response. This is a message board. We discuss what we hear. I don't work for the organization any more than you do so neither of us knows what their plans are. If something is reported and I mention it here, I dont need some insulting response from you as if I'm some kind of an idiot. Take your attitude somewhere else!!!!

    Jonah Williams

    Andrew Wylie

    Mitch Morse

    Sam Cosmi

    Tyler Guyton

Backed up by a rookie IOL (R3?), Paul, Stromberg and Daniels would be nice.

I stopped reading when I saw Wylies name. I dont want him anywhere near a Commanders uniform this season. He got tossed around like a rag doll last year.

Drake Maye is gonna love him some Zach Ertz

According to the Rumor Mill, they're going after Kirk Cousins. I don't know if thats the right move to make but talk of that is heating up.

  7. I could be way off but reading the Tea Leaves tells me that we are either going to roll with Howell another year at Qb or we're going to grab a Veteran FA QB. I think we will trade down a few spots and draft a stud LT like Joe Alt and pick up a few more picks to add to the roster. It seems inevitable.

  8. Man, The Commanders name might be appropriate this year. It sounds like we have a coaching staff of Generals that are preparing us to go to war. I'm pumped for this season and we still have Free Agency and the Draft still to go. Quinn and Peters are killing it right now. One thing is very clear. Dan Snyder has left the building. Josh Harris is building something special here!!!

I couldn't agree more, he doesn't display a ton of confidence in himself.

Quite possibly why it's taken him this long to land the big gig.

Quinn on the other hand is uber confident, the more I hear him talk the more I like this choice.

I sort of see Peters a little different. I think he's 100% genuine. He listens to every word that is said and absorbs it like a sponge. He doesnt just sit there staring off into space as if he knows it all, although I think he is incredibly brilliant. He's humble. He's enjoying the process and building relationships. He knows he doesn't have to be the voice of the franchise or the motivator of men. He has a quiet confidence about him but I believe behind the scenes he will command respect by his actions, not his words. I'm not sure its so much nervousness that you're seeing as much as it's a guy being overjoyed with the journey he's about to embark on. Kid in a candy store moment for sure!!

This will be a very hard lesson for new ownership if they go this route.

Good luck rebuilding the fanbase and selling tickets.

Especially when we are sub-.500 four seasons into the Quinn regime.

And this is my fear. Rivera had a lot of Rah, Rah also when we first came here but that wears off pretty fast and if theres not any substance, you lose the Locker Room.

How can you do that twice?? Noone should even give him an interview next year. How ****ing unprofessional.

Unless it IS about the money in which case **** him anyway.

Yeah, to waste peoples time 2 years in a row is purely unprofessional.  Make your decision before the interview process and stick to it. Perhaps its a blessing in disguise as it shows a lack of maturity.

I was fine with the first one but down 3 this late you gotta kick and extend the game

The first one was also bad. That's the one that flipped the momentum to the 49ers.

I think SF beats Detroit but I hope Detroit puts up some points on them. I also believe an upset will happen against the Ravens today too.  Could be wrong but got a feeling Mahomes is going to be on his game today against the Ravens D.

I think SF and Detroit is going to be a Shoot Out that will come right down to the end. I think KC is going to get a black eye from the Ravens though. I dont think KC can stop the Raven offense and I think Mahomes is going to get knocked around just enough to frustrate him and throw him off his game. Ravens win big.

  14. I think its certainly conceivable that it may be a done deal but they arent allowed to announce it yet. Johnson has had an interview, albeit a virtual one, but theres nothing that says that they couldn't hire him off of that. It may be looked at as a bit of a "quickie" hire but I'm sure that Harris and his staff did there homework and identified who they wanted and any interview they had was more of a formality. I may be wrong but thats certainly how it may have played out.

All the commanders interviews are done by tonight i believe.  If thats the case hopefully news will start to leak tomorrow that Peters is the guy.

Seeing how Harris operates. He MAY already have his guy in Peters but he's not going to announce it because he wants to give everyone the impression that all received equal consideration, which they may have. The point is. he's not just going to stop the interview process once he was done with Peters because it doesn't show a lot of class. Harris does things the right way!!

  16. I read something interesting today that might take Bezo's out of the bidding, if he was actually going to bid in the first place. Apparently he lost something like 57 Billion Dollars because the bottom dropped out of the Amazon stock. That's a LOT of $$$ even for someone with Bezos' wealth. Perhaps he may be a little reluctant to pull the trigger knowing that a stadium still needs to be built along with a lot of renovations to the current facilities. But then again, What do I know?
