I just went for a 50 mile ride yesterday, my longest one to date by far. Not too bad for a 46 year old Schwinn beach crusier.

I'm a bicycle commuter, I just started doing it in June of 2013. I wanted to try and drop a few pounds so I figured this would be a good way to do it. I initially planned on riding just 2 or 3 days a week but I enjoyed it so much that I started riding everyday I could. I started using the MapMyRide app in July 2013 and since that time I have traveled just over 1400 miles. I ride to work in the winter time as long as there is no snow and ice, I just make sure to bundle up real good. My bike is an old 1969 Schwinn Typhoon beach cruiser that I put a banana seat and apehangers on, so its not the quickest bike but I have tried to make it be. I used to ride as fast as I could into work and set a new personal best time, which I accomplished back in June. I covered 3.5 miles in 12:01, unfortunately for me a clipped my pedal on the ground during that ride but didn't really think much of it. The next day, my crank broke at the pedal eye causing my to face plant the asphalt and bust up some teeth. It took me about 3 weeks to get some parts together and fix my bike, but I've been back on it ever since, albeit at a much slower pace.

I take back what I said. I just read elsewhere that the Rams used their current helmets but with retro decals as the Bills did earlier this season. I'd have to see pics from that game but it would make sense that they would do that.

I love the throwbacks but they need to bring back the leather the helmets. The NFL didn't make a rule against alternate helmets, they just suggested that you don't do it. I think a few teams scrapped their throwbacks, the Packers and Bills wore theirs earlier this year but with the regular helmets. The Rams wore throwbacks on Sunday with throwback helmets so it can be done.

Man you have some awesome jerseys, I wish I could justify spending that kind of money

Yeah they are both really clean. I'll have to see if I can find the COA's for them, it might tell me something.

Here are my two gamers, a Marko Mitchell and Marcus Washington. I don't remember what years they are from, I'll have to check back on that. I bought the Marko Mitchell for myself for Christmas 2011 because it was on sale for $50 and Mitchell is my first name. I got the Marcus Washington jersey because he was one of my favorite players on the Skins. *EDIT* Marko Mitchell from 9/13/09 against the New York Giants Here is my Marcus Washington gamer. It doesn't have a thermopatch but its from 08

If you think about it, that stat really sounds worse then it is. We have worn throwbacks a total of three times from '03 until now, so it's not surprising we lost those games with how the team had been playing over the last ten years. If we wore throwbacks twice a year like Dallas and Pittsburgh and happened to lose every time we wore them, we'd really have something to worry about.

So wear the 70th Anniversary jerseys. but they used them once in 03 without the patch. These ones dont have the 80th Anniversary patch on them so it makes them easier to use for the next couple of years.

Who says we wont keep the throwbacks as the alternates for next year? We can use them for the next 4 years per NFL rules.

It can only happen on Thanksgiving. in 02 the Redskins wore their 70th Anniversary uniforms while Dallas wore a dark throwback. Also, I am pretty sure a couple of years ago the Patriots wore red against the Lions in their blues.
