Break out game for Jones.
24-10
7 sacks, 2 ints
No running game at all.

This team is so embarrassing. The defense is pure ****. I don’t care if they have some monumental comeback. How do you let it get this way? They aren’tprepared. Pathetic. Please clean house. Front office ask the way down. Mayhew and Doug. Trash. Everyone. Trash.

He won't sell the team unless forced.

Don't know, don't care. He's gone. I wish him luck but if he finds another job or not in the NFL isn't of consequence to us.
I just would find it interesting if he's given a shot... Like anywhere lol

I would hire Leftwich as the OC.

You can't sweep that under the rug and pretend it didn't happen.....
100% true. Look at how TH played against Dallas over the past couple of seasons. Or even Wentz. No one could accomplish much against them. Their defense is pretty dang good. Howell played very well. Obviously it isn't a big enough sample but it was promising and that's a lot considering what we have had to go with recently. I just worry that Ron won't hire an OC who will play to the teams strengths. Why the hell did he say he wants a Run heavy offense? It sounds like he's channeling joe Gibbs from 1982

I would be fine with putting the resources in the OL and the rest of the team and then riding with Howell for 2023 (short of an instant top tier QB walking in the door). We'll see what we have in Howell and if he sucks, we'll have a high pick in 2024 draft. That seems better than the perpetual mediocrity of mid teens pick.
I am 100% about this, but I don't think the coaching staff has that luxury if the team is sold because the new owners may want to go all Dan Snyder and fire the staff. It would be smart for the coaching staff to use this approach and it would also be smart for new ownership to give the staff time before cleaning house but who knows.

Wentz probably looks great in practice. Look how he did
I actually remember reading all kinds of reports about how Awful Wentz looked in practice. He was inaccurate and threw picks if I remember correctly. It's almost as if, oh I don't know, the coaching staff KNEW Wentz sucked but had to trot his ass out there because of the draft picks and salary they gave up in order to get him....

Happy to get a win against Dallas on the last game of the season, always, even though if it screwed our draft position a little bit.
That part sucks, but I'm hoping they trade back and maybe make some deals to get more picks. It seems like they need an entire offensive line. And a TE. And a linebacker. And another corner, and depth on the offensive line..

Actually it was a really good game overall from a Washington perspective...despite Turner.
That was my impression but just from watching the highlights which made them look amazing so it's really hard to tell without actually seeing the game.

I can sum up Turner in three words yesterday.
Run, Run, Pass.
Oh, and tight end sweep.
Oh and stretch play on 3rd and 1.
Dear God, it almost makes me happy I missed it. I may have thrown a remote at a tv.

I wasn't able to watch the game thanks to a friends kids birthday party so all I got were the highlights. So I have a few questions:
When I was able to watch like 1 play, I noticed McLaurin just standing there when the ball was snapped. In the replay, they focused on the same thing but I was on my phone and I couldn't hear what they said. What was up with that? How was the play-calling? I noticed a lot of RPO's and different formations with Howell playing. Scott Turner dialed all that up which makes me very confused? Was it a good game from that perspective? I noticed you had a dud for Scott again and I can certainly understand that since he's been awful.
The defense played really well. I don't get it? How can they go from looking awful with zero pressure to churning out 3 and outs vs. a very good team. Dallas usually scores a bunch of points and hardly has 3-out drives. Grrr! I really wish I could watch the entire game!Off-season: you can't fire the staff because who the hell would you replace them with when you are 'selling the team' (maybe?). So I don't think there can be any coaching staff changes this year. Also, Howell would have to learn a new system which isn't ideal.
That's all I got - Thanks

Wild to look at the full list. Again not much average QB on that list, its mostly suck to below average.
Cousins is the best QB on that entire list.. It's not even close and this cluster **** organization threw him away.

The season is over. They cannot make the playoffs. Why not see what Howell can do? I don't get playing either Wentz (obv) or TH even though TH gives them the 'best chance to win'. At this point you need to see what you have in your draft pick because TH isn't going to be your day 1 starter next year. They have made that clear for 2 straight seasons now.

Worst case scenario... Winning with Taylor to bring us from a possible 12th pick to like 19th is vomit inducing.
yeah, but let's face it. The only way this organization gets a QB that's decent is if they had the #1 overall pick and there was a can't miss guy sitting there waiting for them. Even then, they may find a way to mess that up
-
Ron Rivera went out and got Ryan Fitzpatrick and Carson Wentz. I have absolutely zero confidence in this organization getting the next QB right either through the draft or in free agency.

Bezos and Jay-Z eh? They really are making it easier to move on.

Good thing there's a new owner coming or today would really suck
There is no evidence of that. You know he'll wind up keeping the team. He's just playing the long game; waiting for everyone to forget... pay the fines... keep the team and the SUCK will continue. I hate this franchise now. The name sucks - technically I could just move on and find another team but growing up in the 80s makes it so hard.

This team finally gets what they deserve. I hope the other teams win so they finally realize how far away they are from being a legit playoff team.

I feel like Wentz COULD have a good game because he hasn't had the running game working in the past which could help him if they can run. It may keep the defense on its heels just enough to allow him to get a few passes away. But I just don't think so. The browns defense is pretty good; the coaches will call a stupid game as usual on both sides of the ball and it'll be REALLY close or the browns will just win.

I doubt will be active in early free agency. Dan’s not going to want to spend much money since he’s selling the team. Our big spending next offseason is likely tied to only resigning Payne.
well, IF he sells the team =/

If Wentz comes into the game the Oline will get obliterated and give up 10 sacks. Taylor can at least move around a little.Robinson looked great against the Vagiants and that gives me hope but I don't think there is any way Howell comes into the game. Even after the stink of this loss wears off and until they are mathematically eliminated Howell won't play this year.
