We are coming off our two best team performances of the season.  Man it would be nice if we could keep this going for a while and hang on to our seeding in Wall's absence.  But I'm not expecting it.  We had to work our asses off for this win.

Speaking as a former diehard, now caught in the malaise of being a casual Wiz and NBA fan....it just doesn't look like this team has the talent to get past the first or second round.  Wall is great, Beal is pretty solid and Oubre/Otto are nice pieces but the lack of a true big man or Karl Malone type true power forward is what's holding this team back.

 

But Ernie doesn't seem to be the guy that can be trusted with a rebuild.

We have Wall, Beal, and Porter under contract through 2021.  They are 27, 24, and 24.  I'm not abandoning that because the team is 4 games over .500 in January of year one of this window.
