8:30? Looking at 6:30 here. 😎
How about the fans in Hawaii?
They'll be hearing the pick at 3:30.

Expecting us to trade back in to the 20s, but wouldn’t be disappointed if we stayed put for day two.
There's been talk that Washington might try to trade back into the first round if conditions are right.
Like I said, lots to watch.

Even though we'll know Washington's pick before 8:30, making it an early night, there is still a lot of interesting things that will happen in the first round.

Great news and long deserved.
Darrell Green was "Mr. Redskin" when he was playing and is still one of the greatest cornerbacks, not just in Washington history, but in NFL history.
Congrats #28.

I'm not going to lie though - JD will give me heartburn if he's tossed around like a ragdoll (RG3 flashbacks).
Yeah, I think there are a number of Washington fans who see Daniels and his lean, lanky frame and get nightmares of RG3 splaying and tumbling in the pocket like a crash test dummy when a 280lb defensive player hit him.
I don't know a whole lot about Daniels, so I don't know if he is as dumb in the pocket as RG3 was. RG3 seemed to literally run into pressure instead of away from it.
Daniels might not be that way.

The more I read about these guys the more conflicted I get lol
It's understandable.
All the QBs we have a chance at this Thursday are all great prospects, but also all of them have their issues as well.
There is no "sure thing" for Washington to select at the #2 spot.
For me, I'm just waiting to see and trusting the process of our new brain trust to use all of the information they have in hand to make a wise decision.

Exactly two weeks from this time now, we'll know who Washington's pick at #2 is (unless they trade down).
The anticipation is building up. So is the tension.

100% you trade for micah Parsons or try to. He's an absolute game wrecker. And next to our dts he would be a menace. He is what we wished young was gonna be and then some.
I don't know about that.
Parsons is a very good player, but if all the stories about him being a head case and a diva and a real problem are true, then we would be transferring Dallas' issues to us.
I mean, Parsons must be a real flake if he is as good as he is and Jones still wants to get rid of him. If these reports are accurate.
With the new owner and new GM we have trying to rebuild this franchise back to greatness after the black hole of the Snyder years, I don't think they need the headache of Micah Parsons.

In Rivera's defense he just had way too much on his plate. I think he'd have had more success(though not that much more)if he could have just focused on being a coach like Quinn gets to.
True, but it's Rivera who piled his plate that high.
He wanted all that position and power. Rather than strengthen his steering of the team, it actually diminished it because he had too much on his hands so that coaching just became one of the side jobs.
I'm glad the new regime thinks differently.

It's just stunning that the players Ron Rivera acquired in the draft just four years ago are all gone.
None of them are here anymore.
That's unbelievable, and a sad commentary on what the team was like. ☹️

What it comes down to is if Washington does select a QB at #2, whether it is Maye or Daniels, they will be getting an excellent prospect, but one that has had problems in their game and isn't a home run hit coming out of the gate.
I like what this team has done in the offseason so far, and it has given me confidence that they will make a good choice at pick #2. Whether it's pick a QB, somebody else, or trade down.

That is a horrific overpay by the Saints. I honestly didn’t think he would get more than $5M/year. The worst part is that it’s a guranteed salary, no incentives. SMH.
Exactly.
He can just sleep on the bench during the game or on the field during the play for that matter, and they still have to give him $13 million.

Why simmer down?
It's mid March. This is the time of year optimism is at its peak.
Let us enjoy it until reality sets in in August when the preseason games start.

Based on how well this free agent period has gone (on paper at least), are you more willing to give up the draft capital (current and future) to move up to #1 for Caleb. Has this moved your needle at all?
No.

We've won the off season before, supposedly but what makes it different this time is we have the coaching staff to get the most out of the guys we picked up. DQ and Whitt will be able to get creative and keep offenses guessing.
Now they just need to put together a great Harvest Festival, and we'll really be sitting pretty this offseason.

So don’t get me wrong I’m loving these signings. But what’s the deal with signing the older guys on 1 year deals when we are most likely several years from competing. Unless they are hoping we pull a Texans
Might be something the players and their agents are insisting on.

Bobby Wagner is a very nice get for Washington.
Good job by the front office. 👍

I'm questioning your dedication if you spent 24 hours straight off this site? Please work on that.
I've been dedicated since the year 2000 when I came here.
But sleep, dialysis, and more rest after dialysis has to cut into my time dedicated to this site.
