Allahpundit's take on Haley:

And yeah, Arroyo is a clown. Unbelievable to see someone who has been on the Catholic network EWTN going on Fox and slurping Trump. Nice example you are, Raymond.

Whatever happened to Amy Klobuchar? I loved her during the 2020 primary. She's been a senator for 15+ years and appeals to both sides.
Be curious to know who leaked the "she's a **** to work for" narrative that seemed to stick. She never really got traction...probably seen as too bland. Seem to recall she had a decent showing in NH, but after that the field decided to coalesce behind Joe.
Wouldn't be surprised if Amy is part of the 2028 field. Dems will have a cast of characters ready to run against Don Jr

In fact, one of the more recent talking points being tossed out is that authoritarianism wouldn't be so bad if Trump's the one in charge. Rationalization levels are at 10,000 for that group.
Not to mention, whatever the percentage of Democratic voters is who don't quite understand the very real dangers that authoritarianism poses (or even how to spot it) and just concentrate on how much a dozen eggs costs now compared to 5 years ago.

What does a 81 going on 94 year old bring to the table that NONE of the other millions of democrats can bring? Why even risk it being that close?
All the naysayers were predicting from Jan 2017 that Biden would not finish his term. I did not believe that.
However, if he were to win at 82 next year, there is more legitimate concern that he will not be able to finish his second term. And a good number of people, for various reasons, do not feel confident that the current VP would be up to the task.
Do people feel more confident about voting for Biden if he dumps Harris and brings in some else on the ticket? Can he still do that up until the convention? What are the political risks in doing so?
-
Nate Silver sounding the alarm bells about Biden:
Again, it seems like the real concern is not necessarily with Biden at present, but the real possibility that he won't make it through his second term. And the public has been led to believe that Kamala Harris is not capable. Therefore, can Biden at this point remove her from the ticket before the convention and pick someone as a running mate that would be more amenable to voters?

Then 2006 was such a let down.
And any other coach under the previous owner at that time would've been fired after that 2006 season.

Can't believe those renderings of the moat palace were released in 2016 and here we are, still at FedEx and probably still will be significantly past the 2027 agreement with that company.
I'd like the new stadium to be 65k tops, be near public transport, and also have restaurants and bars nearby. I'd prefer open air, but realize that likely isn't going to happen.

Lefty came to MD in 1969 and Thompson to Georgetown in 1972. Couple of college basketball titans.

Not as long as Trump has multiple issues against him.
Is the GOP really willing to walk into this 2024 buzz-saw with Trump at the top of their ticket? Maybe some of you are like, "This is not the GOP, this is the Trump GOP... they don't care."
I think there's a higher chance Trump is not at the top of the ticket vs. Biden.
They don't care.
Both guys will be at the top of thr ticket. How long does Biden have to decide if he wants to dump Harris?

I think the fact that there was no back-to-back hurts him. That's generally the mark of a great team/coach. I think he'd be considered differently, he they'd beat the Raiders (that would give him a back-to-back and 4 total). (Also probably would have put Theisman in the HOF.)
Though I also remember a Sport article back in the day.

Why is it a big deal? He's in the Hall of Fame. He's considered one of the best coaches ever. He was among the coaches in the NFL All time 100 team thingy. What more do people want? What does it matter if he's top 3, or top 5, or top 10. Does it give our current team any sort of advantage if Gibbs is ranked higher in some random all time coach power rank list?
The Commanders had an agreement with Ben Johnson, but when he found out Gibbs wasn't widely considered to be top 4 all-time, all bets were off.

Jimmy Cater is a tough SOB. Hats off to him.
So it's been 2.5 months since his wife's passing, and he hangs on.
Makes 100 if he lasts until October 1st. Will he? Who knows. But Carter passing sometime during the summer or fall would be his last gift to America, as I could that at least providing a brief respite from what will certainly be a nasty election campaign.

You have links of SAS, Shannon Sharpe, Skip Bayless, and others from THOSE SHOWS, giving Joe Gibbs a bunch of praise and respect? You sure about that?
I concede those shows don't, but the links (and others out there which mostly list Gibbs comfortably inside the top 10 all-time) render the first sentence of your statement false.

It's definitely a fact, that he doesn't get respect or praise whatsoever. Even from the older generation, who should remember him quite well. Whether it's Undisputed, First Take, First things First, sports radio, you name it. Whenever the topic is greatest head coaches or mount Rushmore or head coaches, they never and I mean NEVER mention the legendary, phenomenal Joe Gibbs.
There are a couple of links I posted on the second page of this thread that shows this statement is false.

Technically Norv also won a playoff game in Snyder's first season of ownership.

Wiggles, I can't refute that racism is in play when it comes to perceptions of Harris.
But if that's the case, then why are we so surprised that Trump is about to capture the nomination and is ahead in the polls against Biden?

But Americans think Trump is. 👌🤣
Trump held the office before and, despite his annoying Twitter blathering, was headed toward reelection until the pandemic hit and he was incapable of dealing with it from a public relations standpoint.
And then his party refused and still refuses to hold him accountable for the post election BS that happened.
Regarding Kamala, again, I don't know why the perception exists that makes people fearful of her holding the highest office. I think that if Biden had stepped down after the midterms (especially if the red wave had materialized) and Harris took over, she may well have been a good steward over the past year plus. And then I think the GOP mightve been in a predicament.
But, alas, here we are.
-
And Kamala being VP is the reason why Bidens age is the issue that it is. Whether it's fair or not, the perception is that she is not up to the job as president.

I think Hasan is misreading here. It's not that his supposed friends on the left don't think mass deportation could happen. It's that they wouldn't mind that much if it did actually happen:
-
And Biden's age probably wouldn't be as much a factor if it wasn't for the perception, fairly or unfairly, that Kamala Harris is not up for the job if something happened to Joe. Wasn't a factor in 2020, but it seems to be a big one now.

I can see Don Jr getting the GOP nom in 28 if he wanted to run. That's how diseased the GOP base is.

Favorite 2-3 places to sit in Fedex Field and recommendations of things to try to do when you come to a home game
in The Stadium
Posted
I'd say 200 level on either sideline and the club level (300s) are the best places to sit.
As far as what to do at the stadium.....short of finding a good tailgate, FedEx does not have a lot to offer, IMO.
