gregjett
Upshaw. I think he will improve without Smith around.
Sonny Joe Hog
I didn't know they were competing for the same position and I don't know the answer. But I believe that, in the absence of a dominant DE, they will probably play certain roles based on their strengths. Wynn may play some tackle on third down and Upshaw may be a designated pass rusher. I also think that Upshaw may play himself off the team if he doesn't become a more disciplined player. I'm pretty sure that Upshaw had more 15-yard penalties than sacks last year. This coaching staff will not tolerate that.
oldskinfan
I think we are going to see a revolving door policy at that position. However, I do NOT think that it means that it will be a weak position. Gibbs had a good sense of how a player matched up - from game to game (sometimes from quarter to quarter). Until we get a dominant player, we will have rested DE's that are playing to their strengths - not a bad scenario. I CAN'T WAIT!!!!!!!
buckster714
I never thought that Wynn was worth a damn when he played here in Jax. He hasn't done a thing in DC to chznge my mind
DCMONEY
Neither player is outstanding, so take your pick. One is a c minus and the other is a C. And thats being generous.
