jimster
get a guy like this cheap and we can let Johnson go. Vikings Release Tight End Goodwin Mar 22, 8:33 PM (ET) Email this Story EDEN PRAIRIE, Minn. (AP) - The Minnesota Vikings released tight end Hunter Goodwin on Monday. Goodwin became expendable when the Vikings signed free agent Jermaine Wiggins and kept starter Jim Kleinsasser with a five-year contract. Minnesota also has a group of promising young players at that position, including Sean Berton, Richard Angulo and Steve Farmer. Goodwin, a fourth-round draft pick by the Vikings in 1996, has played five of his eight NFL seasons with the Vikings. The other three were with the Miami Dolphins, from 1999-2001. A powerful blocker, Goodwin has 37 career receptions for 265 yards and two touchdowns.
