Chrisbob74
........to see what type of undrafted rookies we can get this year. My feeling is that Gibbs is unconcerned about having no picks in the draft, especially the lower round picks, as the talent level plateaus and once you get to say the 5th round, is there really that much difference between a guy in the 5th and a guy who just misses out on being drafted? What I will be interested to see is what type Gibbs gets, will he go for raw potential (guys who have the physical skills but lack a lot of playing time/college experience) or will he look for players who lack the physical tools but have good smarts and work ethic? We had a lot of success in the 80's with undrafted FA's and the draft is 5 rounds shorter now so it makes sense to believe their is more talented to be found in the undrafted rookie pool. I think it is very important we do a good job of finding talent at this level as it can be our way of finding cheap, young labour to help balance our salary cap. I would guess we will have 4 or 5 surprises on our opening day roster!
SKINZ_DOMIN8
:thud: Hopefully this will be the last time we pick in the top 25 of the draft for the next 10 years.
wwninja420
I agree DOMIN8, that is unless the Cowboys give us thier picks so will stop embarassing them and only beat em by say 20.
