Despite badly skewwed numbers, thanks to the abysmal start the skins offense offered up ( beached whales have shown more flair!), this defense must be considered an "up and comer" on a short list of defenses srongly considered to be ......"up and comers!" Kurt has done the job! The Lang experiment was a success although he did start to wear down as the season went on. He made the right decision which tackle to keep! He freed up Arrington as promised. HUGE!!! Never hesitated to play Smoot from day one. HUGE!!! He has Champ. HUGE!!! Solid cohesive performances on defense have propelled the team win or lose for most of the year and Kurt's scheming has generally been very good. Youth at defensive end and increased int production from the safties, not to mention solid team efforts at learning to tackle are the only things needed to help this squad turn the corner. Special Teams. I'm left still longing for the days when ST's were not such an adventure!!! Conway is mediocre at best and he bugs me! The punter bugs me too! Coverage teams have improved significantly from last year. Thumbs way up! Bates is HUGE! Offense. Davis. Nuff said. Are Samuels and Jansen the best tackle tandem in the league???????
