Jackson Keys Strong Defensive Performance

Recommended Posts

This doesn't look like a Redskin year, however; we can still be positive about the team as there is a lot in place. What needs to happen is:

- RG3 needs to work on his NFL QB skills, he is not surprising anyone this year and it is obvious he needs to use this year to get better.

- Next year will offer us a lot in the area of free agent acquisition with the 19 million penalty lifted and assuming Fletcher, Moss, & Davis are gone (which they should be 1 year too long for each of them). We have room to solve the right tackle & defensive back problems add a MLB.

- We need to keep adding depth at OL, DL, & LB in the draft.

The special team problems will be solved this year, so I don't worry about those problems.

I agree, the Skins are in a position to complete their rebuilding. All that is needed now is for this coaching staff to continue to add talent once the cap penalty is lifted and to continue to draft smart.  Currently, we've found our replacement TE, are in need of an active #2 WR, OL ,DL & MLB should be filled according to our schemes.  For this year continue to push hard and see where the cards fall. This is not the time to quit.... just like last year at 3-6....play one game at a time.

Jackson keyed nothing. 0 tackles with 1 meaningless INT. Big deal.

Statistically we played well on D. We held them to 213 total yards. 18 1st downs. 41% 3rd down efficiency (still could be better). Less than 4.5 yards per offensive play.

However we allowed them 100% in goal-to-go opportunities. We allowed them 75% efficiency in the red zone. & our special teams gave up over 200 yards. For playing a good statistical game we still allowed 31 points. Does ANYONE really think we can allow Chicago or Denver those kinds of opportunities & not have 50+ hung on us?

HTTR!!!
