When it comes to winning games on the season’s opening weekend, Shanahan was already ranked among a number of all-time great coaches. His 14th opening win moved him past one Hall of Famer (George Halas) and tied him with another (Chuck Noll). He may not be around long enough to get to Tom Landry‘s mark, but it’s clear Shanahan, even though he’s no longer in Denver, is still in some rarified air. Let's take this one win for what it is, one win. Especially with Mike's success on opening day.
