Once in a while a truly incredible athlete simply cannot get out of his own way. Clarette and Lawrence Phillips immediately come to mind. I generally attribute it to some sort of disorder that never gets properly diagnosed and treated. Ricky Williams certainly was able to overcome it, for now at least. The bottom line about Clarette is he is 26, and has fresh legs. If his head is on straight, this tryout is first step in a tryout for the NFL.
