Arena kicker Rush signs with kicker-hungry Jets

June 4, 2003

SportsLine.com wire reports

HEMPSTEAD, N.Y. -- Arena Football League kicker Clay Rush signed with the New York Jets on Wednesday.

The Jets lost free-agent kicker John Hall to Washington. Doug Brien signed as a free agent and appears to be the leader for the kicking job.

Rush played at Missouri Western and spent five years in the Arena Football League. He was the league's 2003 kicker of the year with the Indiana Firebirds.
