RammsteinSkins
http://blogs.nfl.com/2009/04/21/refrigerator-perry-hospitalized-in-sc/ Former Chicago Bears DT William “Refrigerator” Perry is in serious condition at Aiken (S.C.) Regional Medical Center because of the effects of Guillain-Barre Syndrome, a hospital spokeswoman told the Chicago Tribune. Guillain-Barre Syndrome is an inflammatory disorder of the peripheral nerves outside the brain and spinal cord, with symptoms of general weakness of the legs, arms, breathing muscles and face. Perry was a rookie with the 1985 Bears, who won Super Bowl XX. Perry stood out on a team of colorful characters with his larger-than-life presence and personality. Coach Mike Ditka often used Perry as a fullback on goal-line situations, and ‘The Fridge’ scored on a 1-yard touchdown plunge in the Super Bowl. It was a touchdown that many Bears fans believed should have gone to Walter Payton. Perry played 10 seasons in the NFL and finished with the Philadelphia Eagles in 1994. Perry had a number of notable post-career appearances, including a spot on FOX’s Celebrity Boxing and Nathan’s Hot Dog Eating Contest — which he surprisingly lost. Hope everything turns out okay.
