If there's an entertainer more closely identified with American G.I.s, I'd like to know who. I've read his health is so poor he won't be able to make any public appearance to celebrate, but thanks for the many memories. He was more of my parents' generation, but I remember growing up watching his Christmas specials and film of his stand up routines before U.S. troops stationed anywhere there was a theater of action.
