redman
It would appear that Saddam's cousin, "Chemical Ali" who was so named because he gassed around 10,000 Kurdish civilians 15 years ago to quell an uprising, has been killed at his Basra home. Happy day. What struck me was that he was in Basra because he was given control of the Iraqi forces defending the south of the country. That's interesting because one would think that he'd more effectively be placed in charge of the north of the country where the Kurds are, as his reputation there has already been established. I'm not sure what to make of this, but I thought it was noteworthy somehow.
