Seems Micro$oft's new office suite is going to require those of us that use it to go back into the classroom if we hope to fully understand it's new functionality. http://news.com.com/2100-1012-991303.html?part=dht&tag=ntop Read somewhere else that the future MS OS, code named Longhorn, may not be compatible with a lot of Micro$oft's current software. They claim that the only way to improve is to depart completely from the old formats. Funny how such a move will force everybody to re-up their existing apps thus flooding Bill Gates coffers with more billions. They just don't get it. Simple, fast and nimble software is better. The only thing software bloat is good for is keeping the makers of big hard drives happy. Having never updated from Win98 SE to WinXP because of the much hated WPA it's doubtful I'll make the jump to Office 2003 and Longhorn when they are released.
