EagleSteve
Now this is a true play on words: Author: George Will, on Powell's presentation to the UN. "Speaking, as we are, primarily of the French government, its oleaginous foreign minister, Dominique de Villepin, addressed the Security Council after Powell." Dictionary definition of oleaginous: 1. Of or relating to oil. 2. Falsely or smugly earnest; unctuous. Never heard of the word until today. I don't know if he intended this in reference to French oil interests in Iraq or Villepin being oily, or both. In addition to Villepin being smugly earnest, of course:rolleyes: Here's the link: http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/articles/A32574-2003Feb5.html
redman
That's beautiful! Both oily and oil-interested in Iraq.
Brave
Those two definitions couldn't be more apt in describing France and it's interest in the Iraq affair.
