Goaldeje
OK, long story, but suffice to say, I removed one of our toilets today, and when I did so, I noticed a lot of the playwood is rotten underneath. I was thinking about replacing it just around the toilet (rest of the bathroom floor looks fine), but can't figure out how to remove the toilet flange. Anybody have any suggestions? FYI, this is a houes built in the 60's are early 70's, so the DIY websites aren't that helpful.
HighPlainsDrifter
There should be a few screws holding the flange to the floor. Remove those. If you cannot then pull the flange straight up and off (be careful, don't pull so hard that you snap your line), you will have to cut the line to remove the flange. Use a coupler and attach a new flange.
