gibbswinsthesb
Make what you want of this, but I figured that you would all would find this interesting. I took all of the numbers over the five years Saunders offense had in Kansas City and averaged them in order to show what we might be able to expect from on our own offense. The numbers are more surprising then you might believe, but I used Excel. As for total offense... I looked at 81 games which was 80 seasonal and 1 playoff game in 2003. Total Offense per game 381.2 yards Total Passing Yards per game 243.2 yards Total Running Yards per game 138.1 yards Total Points per game 27.03 points Average league placement in yardage each year 2.6 Average league placement in points per year 5.2 Average league placement in points per year after first year with team 2.5 And here are some individual statistics with no particular names... QB VALUES --------- Average QB Rating 88.32 Completions per game 19.96 Attempts per game 32.2 Completion Ratio 61.98% Touchdowns per game 1.38 Interceptions per game 0.94 RB VALUES FOR TOP RUSHERS ------------------------- Attempts per game 20.2 Yards per game 98.63 YPC 4.88 Touchdowns per game 1.25 Fumbles lost per game 0.148 Now, these are the averages of an Al Saunders offense. Do you think we can match these numbers or better them? The floor is open for discussion, and I would like to hear what you all think.

Personally, I see us matching the Passing stats, and because of all the weapons around our Quarterback, and the defenses compensating for that, easily better those running averages. JimmyWilliamsFanClub
ok man...Im REALLY lazy...how bout posting those numbers comparing them to our stats the last few years! It would probably be fair to say that Saunders numbers were MUCH MUCH better than the Redskis of the past few years.
