You my friend, have inadvertently stumbled upon one of my favorite Alaska tales. And a true one it is. RV after RV had been stopping by the Gakona Lodge (which has since been sold and is under new management) asking for directions to the nearest McDonalds'. Nearly mad by a mosiquito-driven fever, the barkeep directed them onward: Turn left at the end of the road, take your first right, it's at the second stoplight.
