The free agent market is about to take a major hit before it even begins.

FOXSports.com has learned that the Titans and Pro Bowl DE Kyle Vanden Bosch are nearing a four-year contract that will keep the pass rushing maven in Nashville rather than test the free agent waters.

According to sources the contract calls for Vanden Bosch to receive about $15 million in guaranteed money. The former Arizona Cardinal is revered for his non-stop motor and pass rush savvy. He's also underrated against the run and re-signing him was a major step for the rebuilding Titans.

Vanden Bosch grabbed quarterbacks 12 ½ times this season for sacks and is in line for a major raise from the $540,000 he made in salary in 2006.

During this week's Pro Bowl he stood out by sacking Matt Hasselback and Michael Vick and had NFC players talking after the game about his intensity in the pass rush.

He was slated to become an unrestricted free agent. The deal has not yet been completed but those close to Vanden Bosch said it should be finalized within the next 24 to 48 hours.

Calls to Titans GM Floyd Reese have not been returned.
