Dave Krieg was their QB and of course Steve Largent was the star of the team. A friend told me that Franco Harris was on that team also. I didn't believe him until I checked the roster, and he was right. Anyhow, I hope we can add to their playoff futility on Sunday. :logo: If this has already been posted, my bad. BlueTalon Posted January 8, 2006 Share Posted January 8, 2006 Franco Harris was on the team for four whole games before he was released. That episode was embarrassing all the way around. He ended up in Seattle because in the decline of his carreer, he was holding out for a bigger contract and ended up getting cut. So we got him. Which ticked me off. Why? Curt Warner was down with a torn ACL and we needed a running back, right? But right about that time was when Earl Campbell was on his way from Houston to New Orleans, and I believe Seattle could have gotten him, and I'd MUCH rather have had him than Franco. Oh well...
