The Cowboys made the playoffs. There's no link, but Darren Woodson said this morning on Mike and Mike in the morning that Parcells asked him would he be willing to come out of retirement mainly to cover Steve Smith of the Panthers. Woodson said he declined the offer. It would of been too hard for him to get into game shape in just a week.

I'm sure the Cowboy's starting corners were happy to hear about this.

I think BP wanted to make him cover TE by playing LB. Girls were really thin in LBs and TEs (Shockey, Cooley, Gonzalez etc) had been eating their Lb corps alive. Nobody in their right mind would ask a 35 yo 250 lb to cover Steve Smith.
