Restoring Possibilities and Creating Futures

For the first time in a long time the Redskins are giving fans a real sense of whats actually possible. No longer a dream, the team has crossed over some sort of magical threshold and opened a world of real and not just dreamed for possibilities.

If the season ended today, it would be a huge success. The team has learned how to win and overcome, repetedidly, in-game adversity. Theres a real tenacity of purpose, momentum and even a sense of ultimate destiny about this team.

Not since the end of Marty Schottenheimers terriffic 8 - 3 run has there been such a sense of strength and possibilities. True, a three or four game win streak does not gurantee any future performance but some shift has seemed to occur in the Redskins universe.

Assuming a productive offseason and continued good health of our key skill players, the team next year could go very very far. In all of our secret football heart of hearts, we really couldnt say this with any confidence since Joe Gibb's initial departure.

I awakened this morning feeling for the first time in a long time that all was right in the football world, and like a long lost friend had returned home.

What a terriffic christmas present, and there is one man and one man only to thank for this, Joe Gibbs.
