Twas the night before Christmas and all through Fed Ex

Not a creature was stirring not even a mouse.

The Redskin Jerseys were placed out with care

In hopes that game day would soon be there.

The fans were watching Extremeskins

While visions of play offs danced in their heads.

And Pez in his Gibbs jersey and I in my Portis

Had just settled down for a restless night

When out of the alarm rang such a clatter

We sprang from our beds and packed the wings

Away to Fed Ex we flew like a flash

Tore open the truck and threw up the banner

The sun was rising on the stadium ahead and

Gave the promise of a win to fans below

When what to my wondering eyes should appear

But a bus with cheer

With a smiling driver so lively and quick

I knew at the moment it must be Joe Gibbs

Faster than light his team members came

And he whistled and shouted and called them by name.

Now Portis, now Brunell, Now Taylor, and Springs

On Jansen, On Moss, on Cooley and Cartwright!

To the end of the field, to the end zone
