PREDICTOR Posted November 2, 2005 Share Posted November 2, 2005 When I called for drafting defensive linemen this off season because we had no pass rush and we couldn't prevent the pass...all I heard was "shut up...we have the number 3 defense. There is NOTHING wrong with our defense" Still feel the same way? Here are the facts. This is NOT the same defense as last year. there is only ONE linebacker starting who started last season. Pierce is gone and Marshall is in a different position. On the defensive line, Daniels was injured last season so he is new....and Nobles was playing and he is gone. Griffin is injured right now. In the secondary....Smoot is gone and Harris is in or Rogers is in. And Bowen started the season and we actually have about 5 safeties that get interchanged and play a lot. There isn't the consistent play this year because we have had so many changes from last year. They kept the coaching staff...and changed the players. When will this team ever learn. Greg Williams needs to learn something: YES there is such a thing as STARTERS. They are the guys who can play. If somebody is playing in place of your 3 time pro bowl player...then you are playing a BACKUP. And you don't win with your backups when the OTHER teams are playing their....yes..thats right boys and girls....they are called STARTERS! Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
