mnp726
Would someone explain the TUCK RULE. We played good enough to win. I was hoping for a split on the road. We should handle KC :jump:
Mark The Homer
Sure. The Tuck Rule is BS. How's that for an explanation?
Hog Fever
Rule 3, Section 21, Article 2, Note 2 of the NFL rule book: "...any intentional forward movement of [the passer's] arm starts a forward pass, even if the player loses possession of the ball as he is attempting to tuck it back toward his body." It's a poorly written rule, simple as that.
bubba77
The bad thing about that play is that fact that they are saying his arm was going forward, if that is the case it should have been called intentional grounding on Plummer and the ball would have been spotted at the one with a loss of down, the result a ten yard punt snap and probably a block for a safety or touchdown. @DCGoldPants
now, what is stopping QB's who are getting sacked from faking a pass and knocking it out with their other hand? To save the yards of the sack?
