GrimReefa Posted August 31, 2005 Share Posted August 31, 2005 John Clayton was on ESPN Motion and he said that the Saints probably won't be able to play their home opener at the SuperDome on the 18th (I know, that's definately the last thing on hte Mayor of New Orleans' mind right now...). Anyway, he mentioned the possibility that the Saints might play that game (against the Giants, btw) at Tiger Stadium in Baton Rogue (the stadium escaped major damage: http://sports.espn.go.com/ncf/news/story?id=2146797 ). Not to make light of the circumstances which caused this situation, but an NFL game at Tiger Stadium would be pretty cool. It seats 91,000 (although the Siants don't sell out), and apparently is a very intimidating place for opponents...it supposedly creaks and rocks when the crowd gets going, like RFK used to. With all that's happened to New Orleans, I'd love to see the Saints have a really great season, and of course any excuse for a Giants loss is a good one.
