Wow Skip called it we did end up winning 7 straight.
Man 2012 was fun. That's what its like having a legit QB. You're basically a contender every year. Its what Chiefs, Bills, Packers fans etc. feel EVERY season. So jealous.
Buffalo was pretty average until 2019, so I wouldn't include them with your "every season" discussion.

Then why did he pause for an eternity after saying quarterback? Just doesn't make much sense to me.

One of the bright spots in the game was Sweat producing, IMO, because he’s probably our best trade bait at this point. Well, maybe Allen, but he’s on the (very) short list of keepers for me.
If they trade Allen, we riot.

How are they just now figuring this out? There are 5+ years of film on him.
I imagine it's because every coach thinks he can get the best out of a player. It's why players like Sam Darnold and Baker Mayfield stick around probably longer than they should.

He did it in 2020 with Haskins. But he didn't pick Haskins. He was the one responsible for getting Wentz. Benching him admits he was wrong.
Yes, but starting Howell and having him -- however little chance it is -- look great or at least competent would maybe offset that mistake.

"Welcome to the @Commanders, Matt Rhule!"
A tweet sent in 2023, probably.
So we can keep this Panther reject train going? Makes sense.

Commanders drop 50 on the Bears after Ron Rivera sees enough of Wentz and benches him for Howell.
Commanders: 50
Bears: 53

who would you want to get for next year as a coach if Ron is let go? Sean Payton? Eric Bienimy? you know if Snyder gets his way, he'll probably try to get Sean Payton and offer him big money, and even more control of the front office. if that happens, do you come back and support this team once again?
Eric Bieniemy is a possibility, but no chance Sean Payton comes to Washington.

I really question how anybody that watches this team can ever pick us to win. Do you guys actually watch the game, this team is bad.
At this point never expect them to win.

Knowing Ron who promised Wentz that Howell is just a project will give Wentz 70% chance of snaps first.
Well let's see this "project," because the other project has failed.

Some options here:
A: Ron decides to stick with the Wentz and both leave in 2 years if no playoff win.
B. Ron goes with Howell at the end of the year and sees he is not the answer.
C. Ron drafts a QB in 23 draft and builds the OL, DL and the secondary as well and we have a what looks like a promising season in 23 and Ron is extended for x amount of years.
He Has to see is Howell is the answer basically now before the draft.

Ron Rivera is a bum and a loser. Dude had one good season here, and even that was with a losing record.

Typically I'd reply with snark and a joke. But I heard about 10-15 of this interview and to be honest. I am genuinely embarrassed for JP right now. How he asked questions. Saying "yeah" when Brownlee gave him a non-answer answer and probably not realizing it sounded it he was agreeing. Getting rolled in general.
I'd imagine when he goes back and listens to that, he won't be proud of himself. That was pretty sad to allow the team lawyer to go for as long as he did, saying what he was saying, while painting Dan and Tanya as victims.
Didn't hurt Snyder or help him. I think the only person who lost from this is JP. Unless he starts getting exclusives from the team. And even then, it won't be a secret why.
You've got to understand there's a fine line you have to walk to show you're not biased for either side. You may not like what they have to say, but you do have to get their side -- even if their side is nonsense. At least that's the stance I took when I was a reporter.
I haven't heard the interview, but I can't blame the guy for (I assume based off reactions) not grilling the guy.

Didn't listen to the interview but ok, what's worst case scenario for Dan? Congress releases a report that recommends he sells the team. He says he's not going to.
End of story.
Why should this time be any different?
Obviously the hope would be the report forces owners to oust Dan.

The odds are so long on a 5th rounder it would be irrational to put a single resource into building "around" howell.
But we won't know until he's given a shot, which at this point I'd be willing to just sacrifice the year to see. Because we already know Wentz ain't it.

We need to finally draft a franchise QB and build an identity around that person.
Still holding out hope Howell is the guy.

No way they are winning this game. What have any of you seen to think they can beat anyone decent, if we played the Jags again today they would win, Carson went from ok something to work on, to full on dumpster fire in less than 4 games, the HC is in over his head, the OC and DC are inept, the current best player on the team is on the bench.
Titans: 32
Douche Canoe’s:10
Who is the current best player on the team?
Also: Titans: 30 / Commanders: 21
Wentz goes out with an injury and Heinicke runs for his life.

I think it's time for Cole Turner to see the field. Wentz is looking spooked, 85 can make plays...
Kind of wonder what's been the holdup there. I thought he'd see the field by now considering the way he was talked about.
I think he'd definitely help Wentz, who really just looks lost post-Reich.

Wasnt Jackson a man press corner with the Bengals and now we use him in more zone?
If that's the case, maybe Jackson isn't the one who should be benched. Maybe Del Rio for not adjusting the scheme to fit the players or the people that brought Jackson in should be benched.
Get rid of them both. Del Rio has been frustratingly bad at times, and Jackson isn't worth what he's getting paid.

No disagreements that'd they've been great, but I don't know if I'd lump them in just yet with the teams that have had consistent level of success like Kansas City and Green Bay. But they're definitely on that trajectory.
But back on topic: Washington sucks.
