I am actually looking forward to watching Crowder do his thing with the new kick off rules. If they dont get a hand on him HE IS GONE.
Not so sure about him being gone. He was always quick but never particularly fast. And now he is much older. Just last season he was ran down from behind on a punt return. Lol. It was a heckuva return though. He made it into the redzone.

A trade for Aiyuk or Deebo would be great but it's unlikely. Another possibility though, would be to sign Tyler Boyd. He is a pretty good #3 wr, in my opinion 🤔

I hope we bring in some kickers for training camp. Whether they are UDFA, free agents or kickers from the UFL. Brandon McManus has a worse career percentage of FGs made than Joey Slye (who ironically is now with the Jaguars), so we didn't really upgrade there. Never understood the McManus signing for 3.5 million in the first place, he has been average at best recently.
If McManues wins the job in an open competition - great. But I want to have that competition. There are great kickers out there who just need a chance and we haven't really had a good kicker in forever and I am not very confident that that's going to change with McManus now.
He is great at extra points and really good from 49 and under. Slye had PAT issues, that's for sure. I agree completely though. Definitely need a couple guys to come in and compete. It seems like many other teams find diamonds in the rough, quite often. Guys nobody has ever heard of. And they end up having a terrific season. Seems like we haven't had a stud kicker since Chip Lohmiller! It can definitely make a big difference in a team's success.

So this consensus big board thing is the first time that I have seen any negativity surrounding our draft. Everywhere/everyone else says that we did great 🤔

I think I would have preferred Simpson over Hampton but whatever.
He passed away recently and hasn't played football in decades.

Well that’s me off to a bloody family commitment for the next day or so.
Here’s hoping day 2 drops us some great picks. Maybe even an outrageous trade for Aiyuk involving 2025 picks only. One can dream.
Have fun….
I would be absolutely ecstatic to get Aiyuk. Even if it took a 2024 pick! I would be extremely excited to add him to our wr corps.
Just now, RWJ said:I don't see anyone talking about OT. We don't have a quality OT on this team and we need one. We didn't trade up to draft one and even through JD has wheels he still needs protection on both sides. I mentioned early this AM I hope Fisher is the pick at #36 and the best of the rest MIGHT be Kingsley Suamataia or Roger Rosengarten.
Very true. That's a must.

Don't like it. I wasn't crazy about any of our prospects at QB, but Daniels was the guy I wanted least. Aside from durability concerns, he doesn't seem like a leader or a tough guy to me- two very important traits you want your QB to have. I'm sure he'll show some electrifying flashes and highlights that suck you in, but my feeling is that he'll flame out sooner than later- whether it be because of injuries or the NFL game being too much for him.
I heard one of the analysts say last night that Herm Edwards said that Daniels reminds him of Randall Cunningham. Well, Herm Edwards was fired everywhere he coached and Randall Cunningham stunk- so how that was supposed to be some sort of ringing endorsement for Daniels is beyond me. But I digress.
I obviously hope I'm 100% wrong on this and will root like hell for and support Daniels. I just don't have a good feeling about him being our long term franchise QB and that leaves me feeling a little empty about last night.
Wait, what? Randall Cunningham stunk?

Lol 180 lbs QB to go with our 160 lbs CB. Meh. 🤣
Guy on NFL Network claimed JD5 weighs 207 pounds but I don't know.

Yeah he's "prepared to go to Washington".
As if his parents married him off to a rich royal family in Pakistan and he has now finally accepted his fate.
I don't get it. Does JD not realize that we have a great new front office? Arguably had the best free agency of any team? Have 6 draft picks in the top 100? A ton of cap space going forward? All things that could lead to massive help for him and for this organization to become a great one. I don't know why but he seems to be acting like an entitled jerk.

Does anyone here think that we could actually make the playoffs in 2024? I just read a cbs sports article. It said six new playoff teams for 2024. I thought maybe they would go out on a limb and mention us but nope. It said Falcons, Jets, Titans, Seahawks, Bengals, and Jaguars. I figure maybe 8 - 9 wins is possible. Could that sneak us in? Ya never know.

No. The exact opposite. That would be super confusing.
The opposite of JD would be awesome. DJ. Giants trade Daniel Jones to Washington!!! Woot woot!

Daniel Jones is a bum because he sucks. Just because we're worse doesn't mean that he isn't trash. There's a reason the Giants and reportedly really hoping to be able to get a QB in this draft.
An argument could be made that Dallas is allowed to make fun of him because they obliterated him. However we aren't allowed to chastise him because he made us his biatch.

Part of me loves that we are now a tight lipped organization and part of me secretly hates it too. lol
Under former "management" if we were in position to get a consensus big time qb in the draft there would be major leaks and stories on a near daily basis.
We would know who Kingsbury was going to meet before he did. We'd get details on interviews, "secret" wine and dine meetings, white board session details, and all the juicy gossip a degenerate football fan could dream of.
The only downside is that you knew deep down in your heart, that no matter how excited and juiced up "management" would get you-- waiting at the end of some dark sinister rainbow was a big tin pot overflowing with failure.
XXXXX
BTW
Anyone know if Kingsbury played college football?
Looking at the pic above he actually looks like an athlete. He clearly works out and takes care of himself.
I was gonna ask the same thing! Either Kingsbury is a decent sized, still in good shape former ball player or Theo Von is the white Gary Coleman!

A 2026 one at that.Similar to what we received for Chase Young. Even though I personally think that Reddick is a wayyyyyyy better NFL pass rusher than Chase Young. And it's not particularly close, in my opinion.

Haasan Reddick traded for just a 3rd round pick ( although it possibly could turn into a 2nd )

I feel like Stephon Gilmore is a no-brainer. He fills a position of need. He is very good. He knows Dan Quinn and Joe Whitt Jr's defense inside and out. I don't understand why we seem to have zero interest. I guess he wants more money than we feel comfortable dishing out. That's a real shame because I think he would help our secondary immensely.

I agree. In a recent interview someone asked DQ how he felt today and he said "I have a boner"
Which is clearly a reference to Bo Nix.
Book it.
Sounds more like a reference to us drafting Michael Penis Jr.

Interesting. Cornelius Lucas says that he realizes that he has been a swing tackle the last four years but he wants to start! Says that he will compete and try to win the job. Who knows, maybe he will accomplish becoming the starting LT.

I am confused. I hear that the Jets are highly motivated to sign Jadeveon Clowney. Yet the picture used in the article shows a strong but somewhat slim looking guy wearing #24. What the heck? Looks more like Antonio Gibson than a 6' 4 300 pound monster who plays on the defensive line!!! Am I crazy or just a moron?? Idk how to show the picture on here but I don't know any dlineman who wear number 24 🤷
