We'll see how this comes out. Depends upon what we pull with those 50's and that extra day 3 pick. There are a lot of good players left at our position groups of need.

There is no extra third pick. They swapped 40 for 50 and they got 53 for 79

I asked John Beck, who trains Jayden Daniels, about Daniels' weight and if it will be an issue in the NFL: "When you see his frame it’s easy to add weight to it. You don’t want a guy with his athletic ability to be 220. That takes away something from him. He’s probably always going to be on that leaner side because of his game. But his frame he can put weight on. He’s going to progress as he gets into his 20’s. if you stand side by side with Jayden or put him next to others, you can see that weight is going to be added on as years go. As long as he can maintain his size and speed as he puts on weight that’s going to be amazing."

My guy is 24..soon to be 25? If he hasn't added weight by now he will not add much more weight. He is just making excuses for him seeing he is training him. It is what it is. I don't like it but I have no say.

It’s hilarious how so many former players, analysts, and media folks that are paid to cover and do research are so high on Daniels yet you come to this thread and it’s a bunch of no the paid folks and former players are wrong, it’s a conspiracy theory against the Commies (they want Maye in a better market), etc. Can’t wait for Thursday :lol:Daniels (if drafted by us) will restore pride and joy for DC football.

    so will Maye

And they're right less than 50% of the time. It's probably like 30%. I don't have the numbers but it's not good I think we all can agree on that. I think what worries a lot people that don't care for Daniels is they see another RG3 but lighter build. It will be fun to see him run around, til it's not and he is missing games. The number one thing a player should be is available and I have a bad feeling he won't be available at times, and that's not sustainable to build a winner.

    Who are they?

    How naive you are!

They are the reptilians who live beneath the surface of our planet, they are the secret societies that rule and control our every desire, they are the ones who assassinated Lincoln, Kennedy, Sadat, and scores of other leaders who "got out of line".

Look behind every corner, within every shadow, above every mountain and they are there.

And with all that power, control, and dominance the one matter they have focused all their efforts on is making sure that we draft Jayden Daniels.

    How naive you doubters are.

I bet some of you even  think that the earth is really round and that we actually landed people on the moon and it wasn't a film studio special effect.

See this guy gets it lol 🤣 👽🛸

 it’s all a huge conspiracy to push Daniels to Washington by analysts and the media! Come on now. Maye isn’t getting past pick 3 and the Pats aren’t trading down.

It's really not a conspiracy it's a fact they are pushing for us to take Daniels at 2 , do you have different channels that I don't?  If it was up to most of them, the card would already be turned in.

If this happens, it would single-handeldy ruin every hope I had for this team. You just know how this would end. We would get rolled by the Giants for two decades because they got the player we were supposed to draft...

Exactly and you know dang well in your heart of hearts this is what's going to happen. We will take Daniels and he will be the big bust of the 3 QBs and Maye will have a great career with the Giants and JJ will have even a better career because he was the most overlooked. It's just the commanders..Redskins...way. Teams wouldn't be offering more if Maye is there vs Daniels at #3 besides the raiders because they go back to ASU bs.. The media is the only one pushing Daniels at #2. The NFL knows who they think will have a better career and it's showing with the talk about the haul they would offer for Maye vs Daniels.

Funny enough, even though Cooley is higher on Maye than McCarthy, I still like JJ. But for any other pro-Maye folks who want help getting over him if he isn't the pick, Cooley highlighted some clear negatives. Said he was a mediocre processor and "consistently inaccurate". Really made him out to be a project, maybe not Josh Allen-level, but high-risk / high-reward.

To me, whatever my biases are, I treat the red flag on Daniels as bigger than league consensus and the red flag on McCarthy as lower than league consensus. Probably in part bc I'm not a pro scout / tape junkie, I'm way over-indexing on leadership & intangibles and the RG3 PTSD has me very sensitive to durability concerns. It is what it is.

I could be dead wrong. If it's Daniels, as it really appears it will be, I will root like hell for him and cheer like crazy when he rips off big runs. But I don't anticipate having any changes of heart between now and Thursday. Time to let it ride and see what happens!

Oh the PTSD is real I can still see RG3 leg wrap around the back of Haloti Ngata like a wet limp noodle. And I have no doubt unfortunately that Daniels will miss time do to injuries because of his slender frame and playing style (reckless like RG3)  He is the Wish version of RG3 and that's not good.

Listening to Cooley will definitely get you pumped up about Daniels. He's in love with him as a prospect, has him higher than Caleb and raves about him.

He's just straight up unconcerned about durability. It is what it is. ****, maybe he's right?

Don't you dare flip sides on me now haha I need all the JJ support I can get 😂

Are you a cure for optimism? Maybe you should give a call to Eli Lilly.

i don’t mean to single you out, but I’ve seen several posts already talking about the failures of a franchise, its coaches And young men that have yet to even step on the field.

How do some of you guys get up on the morning? Do you put on your pants, think “am I too happy? Let’s change that and bring other people with me.”

when going to bed at night “gosh darn, I think I did it. I helped spread my negativity. This is great!”

i don’t know how anyone that OSS a fan of this franchise just couldn’t be over the moon with excitement. I know I am and I haven’t felt this way in a very long time. Sign

It's called having an opinion and expressing it. Sorry it's not the status quo that you wanted to hear. If it hurt your feelings to read it I Apologize. Didn't want to ruin your day. Love this team and I want nothing but success. If everyone thought the same, this world would be pretty boring don't you think? And just fyi that original post was just for fun. That's why it had a LOL at the end with a 🤣 face. It's okay if you didn't feel the need to laugh, to each their own, I still love you.

as an 18 year old: Jayden is 55th in QBR, Lamar is 27th

as a 19 year old, Lamar is 4th in QBR, Jayden's season is largely wiped out by covid (though he was top 10 in 4 games, the sample size renders it moot, if nice)

As a 20 year old Lamar is 4th in QBR again, Jayden is 41st.

As a 21 year old Lamar is drafted, goes 6-1 as a starter while struggling (31st in QBR), Daniels finally produces a season better than Lamar's freshman year at Louisville.

As a 22 year old Lamar is #1 in QBR in the NFL and Jayden Daniels as a fifth year senior finally produces his first truly elite season in college and first and only season better than Lamar's age 19 and age 20 seasons at Louisville.

That's what makes all of this stupid as hell. When Daniels finally played like an NFL QB prospect worthy of a first round draft selection, Lamar was already an NFL Veteran who had produced the #1 QBR ranking in the NFL itself, after finishing college with two top 5 QBR finishes.

They weren't in the same universe as prospects period. The only reason Daniels is not going to be passed over like Lamar was is #1 the work Mahomes, Lamar, Josh Allen and Kyler Murray did in the NFL while he was strugglebussing life at ASU and LSU '19-'21, and #2 the NFL is filled with idiots who move as a herd, and rarely against the grain. they follow trends, like middle school girls, and that's the only reason people now value dual threat QB's.

Thank goodness somebody finally pulled the stats out. He is no Lamar not even close. Just because he's a dual threat doesn't mean he's Lamar. And you're totally right. NFL follows trends like school girls. Lamar is better at everything then him in college. Yet he was drafted 32nd overall now a Dollar General version of Lamar is worthy of the 2nd overall pick? Who only had one good season  because he had elite talent around him. Come on man haha 🤣

Yeah, worrying about Daniels signing a second contract is not a worry to me at all. We are talking 5-7 years from now.

By then, he could be married and have multiple kids and have ties to the area, etc. difference between age 23 and 30 is huge.

I'm not worried about him signing a second contract either, because he won't make it that far. The whole coaching staff will be fired before then because of him. Lol 🤣

Broncos just dropped their new uniforms today, and the Texans are slated for tomorrow.

What's the holdup, Jason Wright?? 😤

Any news on the rebrand? Maybe after the draft is done it'll pick up steam again.

You said it all when you said Jason Wright. Dude is a 🤡 He is not going to make waves with the new owners/NFL. He'll hide in a corner, out of sight out of mind so he can keep his job. And if they ask him anything it's, Yes you're right Sir, let me clean off that table for you. As he's plotting to stab you in the back just in case someone more powerful walks in the door. So he can keep his job.

  13. Why do I hate the idea of Daniels at #2 now ha 😕 Never really been a Daniels guy and now reading all the bad on here really makes me think he will be a bust. "Me first guy" that will not make it in the NFL.  I really hope we don't take him. Peter's do the right thing! JJ or Maye is the only right pick. I know a lot of people are saying JJ is crazy talk at #2 but what's the difference between #2 and #6 in all reality if he is a franchise guy. Who knows the right answer when drafting your quarterback, it's definitely a crap shoot. But I have a bad feeling when it comes to Daniels.

McCarthy is the youngest prospect, faced the toughest competition, apparently has a magnetic personality, bore the weight of a blue blood program on his shoulders, had clutch performances in big games, is mobile, and excels at working the middle of the field.

Newmark on what makes a great QB "The great quarterbacks I've been around have tremendous inner belief in themselves. And the more you're around a person, the more you feel that and see that in them. And um, I would say the ability to unify people and create a common belief, but that core believe in themselves has always been something that I've seen"

Peters emphasized the importance of leadership in a QB, and leading in a way that's authentic to yourself.

Keim doing a 180 on McCarthy counted out to now he has a real chance...

Peters, Quinn and Kingsbury all went to JJ's pro day and had a private meeting with him at the time as well. (I know they went to USC/LSU/UNC too)

Anyone know how McCarthy's physical talents compare with Purdy's?
