    This is all so traumatizing

The trauma had already occurred.  What is happening right now is PTSD.

Eliminating the dysfunctional ownership that destroyed the team doesn’t eliminate losing, it just re-introduces the possibility for winning, aka hope.  Many people in this fanbase seem to have forgotten that frustration, disappointment, and losing are all part of the normal fan experience, and in the normal fan experience the balance comes from hope, not any sort of guaranteed success.

It’s fine to hate the Quinn hire, or any decision ownership makes, but none of us are being robbed of something that is owed to us any time we are unhappy.  I don’t know if the team will get back to what it was, but I have doubts about the fanbase as long as people think anything short of gratification is adversity.

I’ve heard interviews with insiders that said point blank this deal wouldn’t be approved for any other team.

Florio isn’t making it up. He’s repeating what’s been circulating for a few days now.

The flip side is if it was any other team maybe Harris still becomes owner with a different deal. Basically if he was able to leverage the situation into a more favorable overall structure, good for him.

People need to drop the idea that he was scrambling for financing.  It’s a business deal and it’s always about getting the most for

the least, regardless of the bottom line number.  This reporting doesn’t matter to us, it just reflects that we’ve entered into the phase where NFL and Harris negotiate.

My point being that, if the anointed endgame is simply Bezos coming in over the bid of Harris/Rales/Johnson, then why hasn't he done so? Enough time has passed since the last round the offers we know aren't serious that this should be over... if indeed he's truly interested after looking at everything there is to know.

That Snyder still has mouthpieces out there saying "Dan is more than willing to accept a bid from Jeff Bezos" kind of tells me he hasn't turned in one yet.

Exactly.  And he hasn’t because he won’t.  And Snyder knows he won’t, otherwise he’d still be playing the “I’m not sure I want to sell to Bezos” cards.

Instead he’s constantly getting the name Bezos out trying to scare the last legitimate bidder into a higher offer.  It’s the end of the end game, basically a staring contest between Harris and Snyder

He would not have entered the bidding any sooner. This will end far faster once Bezos makes his bid. It’s a rubber stamp approval. Harris counting his pennies to make a bid will have a lot more scrutiny and due diligence by the NFL which will take time.

You were the guy saying if Bezos was interested he would have directly called Dan and offered 8 billion. None of that is how it works.

Bezos hired the firm that does these deals more than anyone else. They will close it for him like the pros they are.

You're completely ignoring the big blinking light here: that Harris is bidding at a level that is chasing him off.  In that case it's irrelevant how much more money Bezos has.  He's a successful businessperson who didn't get there by making bad deals.

Why would he try to buy 40% of the team to step aside now?

    1) See above.  The valuation indicated by Snyder's buyout of minority partners was 2.4 billion.  So knowing Bezos was interested in 40% tells us N O T H I N G about what he thinks about the value in this transaction

    2) Minority ownership, as we're seeing with Harris and his Steelers stake, is advantageous towards future ownership.  In other words the fact that the stake was in the Commanders is irrelevant, it was a foot in the NFL door

    Jay Z is a cooler celeb co-owner.

    WTF is this crap 😒

Magic Johnson has had a share of several professional team, and I believe they have all won championships.

Jay Z was part owner of the Brooklyn Nets for a decade and, I'll spare you the research, they did not.

Overplayed?  It was literally 1 bullet point out of like a dozen that I listed.  No matter how you want to justify it, he still made a stupid comment about it and should have just never said anything about it.

    EDIT:

Take it out of my list if you want, it doesn't change the other things I would have done different.

It wasn't a response to your list or even a defense of Wright.  It's just that this misdirection complaint keeps coming up and I think it always misses the point.

    - lie about misdirection

This is so overplayed.  He was asked about leaking the name through trademark registration and said there would have to be some misdirection.  Registering in Trinidad & Tobago, which they did, could be misdirection.  Registering social media accounts under decoy names in addition to Commanders, which they did, could be misdirection.  For some reason people want to treat this boring answer to a boring question like he promised some kind of amazing magic trick.
